I agree with the group. This is cheesy software and the description is extremely misleading, web content, trailers, and constantly locks my computer. There might be 1,000 TV Channels available -- but none are worth watching! I tried this against my better judgement because of the rebate. Guess what? Rebate denied!

This program is completely worthless. Burning money is less of a waste. I was dumb enough to buy this before researching it. For example: if you want the "on demand" movies that this comes with go to http://www.free-tv-video-online.info/. In fact, when you want to watch one of these it even opens up a window in internet explorer. Basically this software is a bunch of bookmarks to various places online that stream stuff nobody really wants to watch. The ONLY reason you should buy this is if you are a huge fan of radio stations that are either in a different state and stream online or international. But again, you can find EVERYTHING this program offers for free online but the fact is that none of it is even worth searching for. Was this review helpful?

I bough this product hoping I could see some Israeli TV and NY local channels.
The Israeli channels they offer either dont work or they have the shopping channels and the equivalent of C-SPAN thank you very much!
I emailed them asking why some of the channels dont work and asked about the local NY channels. I never got an answer.
Only thing I can say positive is that they have an on demand section that leads you to sites where you can see full length current movies. I probably could have found these sites myself if I bothered to Google it.
Dont waste your money.

not even a single movie channel; all they do is redirect to some youtube like websites which hosts movies wehn you select movies(what is the use if you can use those websites directly)
there are some channels which hosts only trailers
I will update the channel list here when im at home

Software only solution - I don't know why, but when I bought it I had thought there was a 'card' involved... my bad.
It was easy to install and get working, but the quality of the picture (I didn't expect a lot and was still disappointed) and even with Comcast high speed the connection would drop frequently. If you really want to watch something, don't choose this product. Was this review helpful?

this software gives you a lot of garbage channels and no good ones.I think I would be pleased with it if it recieved free "over the air channels" like I was mislead to believe; ie "no tv tuner needed" feature, I figured at least I would be able to get major market locals.Most of the movies are older than dirt!!!!!!! and a lot of trailers! yes trailers, go figure. the only positive is the console seems ok and installation went smoothly ,otherwise there is nothing interesting playing Was this review helpful?

Ordered, received and installed this product. I must have typed in the correct serial # 15 times. Used the O's as O's and tried them as zero's. I can't use the program because it will not allow me to register it.

The program itself runs good and offers some things you normally don't find elsewhere but this is not a replacement for regular TV access and doesn't offer access to some major brands (CBS) and some broadcasts just don't work. Picture quality is a step above YouTube but that's about it. A great addition if you get it cheaply but no alternative to TV. Was this review helpful?

<p>Even with the rebate that will bring the price down to about 10 bucks, this software is a rip-off.</p>
<p>The description makes it sound like they are capturing satellite feeds and broadcasting the channels. Far from the case. The software is only a windows media or real media player interface to content available on web sites with a channel listing that could be compiled with Google searches.</p>
<p>Since they are individual web sites the quality varies from terrible to almost good. Even with an 8Mbs Internet connection and strong computer the video is blocky and full of artifacts and cuts out to rebuffer constantly.</p>
<p>The advertised selection of channels includes local and county government from several areas of the US that make up a large number of channels, local stations from obscure mid-west areas and a few nationals like CNN, The Weather Channel and Bloomberg. Many channels that are portrayed as network or from a large city end up being a weather loop with advertising. In other words, for the most part, the channel selection is as worthless as the broadcast quality is bad.</p>
<p><b>I am hard pressed to find anything to justify spending 10 bucks on this software, and actually wish I could return it for a refund. I am greatly disappointed.</b></p> Was this review helpful?

This software is bogus. I contacted Smith Micro before ordering it because I read some online reviews that were unfavorable. The company is only reselling a program that is an interface to free online tv that is available elsewhere, well, for FREE! When I asked for a channel lineup, they refused to provide one.
