This two pack contains both Destroy All Monsters and Gamera!

Destroy All Monsters: Godzilla nukes New York, and the capitals of the world are trampled into rubble when a sinister race of alien invaders attempts to use Earth's own monsters to destroy mankind! Now humanity's only hope lies in the courage of the valiant crew of the United Nations Starship Moonlight SY3! The courageous astronauts must wage a desperate race against time, locate the Klilak's hidden base on the moon, sever the alien's control over their titanic beasts of destruction and, against all odds, find a way to destroy all monsters!

Gamera: Gamera's grim, new, ready-for-the-nineties mindset pits the super turtle against both a misguided military and a hideous race of man-eating, flying reptiles! Aiding Gamera in his fight are a courageous naval officer, an intrepid ornithologist and a beautiful young psychic.

"[Destroy] ...the ultimate monster mash...the brouhaha to end all brouhahas...[an] ultra-mega-biggie-sized throwdown spectacular!"  David Johnson, DVD Verdict
"[Destroy] ...solid and entertaining...one of the best Godzilla films in the series..."  Joseph Savitski, Beyond Hollywood

Editor's Note

DESTROY ALL MONSTERS: From their lunar outpost, alien forces wreak havoc by simultaneously setting free all the monsters of yore, from Godzilla to Ghidrah. Only the United Nations Starship Moonlight SY3 can save the citizens of Earth from utter chaos and imminent trampling. This film from GODZILLA's Ishiro Honda has so many monsters, you'll swear you could smell the rubber suits. DESTROY ALL MONSTERS was filmed in Nikkatsu Scope.

GAMERA: When a plane carrying an atomic bomb crashes over the Arctic Ocean, the explosion unleashes Gamera, a 200-foot fire-eating turtle. He is hungry for a city and not about to be stopped.

[Destroy] Have you ever felt while watching a film that the filmmakers threw everything they could into their film no matter how unnecessary? Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters is one of these films as just when you think you have got what is going on the plot verse out of control into a completely different direction. The films set and conclusion are the strongest part of this film with the middle act being mostly devoted to monsters doing what they do best destroying everything in their path. Even with all this chaos swirling around me I still enjoyed the hell out of this oddity...Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters like most Godzilla films was directed by the legendary Ishiro Honda who would only make two more Godzilla films after this one. The films special effects are some of the best in the series. The pacing and direction is nearly flawless. The films final showdown in a battle of the monsters verse Ghidrah is one of the best sequences ever to grace a Kaiju Eiga film. Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters was originally intended to be the final Godzilla and it includes more monsters then any other film in the series. Ultimately Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters is a non stop action packed monster mash that requires very little if any thinking to enjoy its nuances. - Michael Den Boer
