DELONGHI EO1200.1B Extra Large Toaster Oven

Even though this product got so-so reviews in a few places I looked, I decided to trust DeLonghi as I'd had one of their toaster ovens previously. In between I bought a Kitchen Aid -- it had good size and I liked the way it looked -- unfortunately, I hated the way it cooked, especially baked, which is what I do every Christmas. This DeLonghi is a gem so far -- I've baked both cookies and biscotti (first time ever) and they all came out perfect. So am definitely a fan of DeLonghi for life.

I remember the anticipation I had waiting for this toaster oven to arrive. The unit fully lives up to all of it's 4.5 and 5 star reviews. It is simple, convenient, and very user friendly. Cleaning is a breeze with the crumb tray, and the food is always toasted to a crisp golden, or baked to perfection (granted that proper directions are followed, of course). I love it, and I honestly don't know how life can be lived without a toaster oven because of DeLonghi... This is a great buy.

Not the greatest - something much closer to the other end. The timer knob clicks and dings as it rotates, marking each and every second like a cheap egg timer. Very annoying. Instruction manual is next to worthless. Cheap, flimsy feel to knobs. Performance-wise, great for charring bread and bread-like products, if that's what's on your menu. Like the headline says, keep looking.

The toasters are the best in the world. I can make my world famous nachoes again. The one down side is the baking pan is cheeply made. Our original toaster had a sturdier one. Love the pizza tray.

Everyone else already covered the many important features. I just want to add that my wife claims that this is the first time in her life she doesn't have the toast burned... they always come out perfect!

We had the previous version of this toaster oven and it was getting rather beat up with scratches on the top plus the paint starting to come off in the middle of the front door underneath the window, so we decided to spring for this one and we are glad we did. Here's what we like: - better quality paint - better quality roasting pan - nicer styling - dedicated "keep warm" setting - the top of the unit is not flat, so it discourages setting the tray there and scratching the top - removable crumb catcher tray making cleaning much easier (we LOVE this feature) If this will be your first one or you are looking to upgrade from a previous model, this is a great buy.

This is only the second toaster oven we have ever bought! Our first Delonghi oven was given as a wedding present twenty years ago. It was used absolutely EVERY day from making toast to baking small cakes. The simplicity of the design made it the most reliable toaster we've owned. The new one has a few minor changes but has basically stayed the same and we look forward to another twenty years of use!

It looks beautiful and sleek...it cooks and toasts everything great...but, it does not have a timer or auto shut off for baking or broiling...I had to but a separate timer so I don't catch my house on fire. I e-mailed buy.com with this concern and did not get an appropriate response.
