Dell Optiplex GX270s Desktop PC (Refurbished): Intel Pentium 4 2.80GHz, 512MB DDR, 40GB HDD, CD, 10/100 LAN, Windows XP Professional - GX2702.8SFFXPPRF

The computer was extremely dusty inside. I blew all the dust out with a compressor and the dust filled the whole cellar. However, dust or no dust, it did not seem to affect the computer's ability to do it's job. It's faster than my high priced desktop and has a quicker CPU in spite of being half the size. I threw in a wireless adapter and it took everything in stride and performs extremely well. After I bought it I did find it being sold by another vendor for $50 cheaper, but even at Buy.Com's price it's a good value. This is not my first Buy.Com purchase and so far I have been very satisfied. They strike me as a good outfit !

It's a great little box! and I mean little, I live in New York City, and ever inch of apartment that I save is a huge victory. This computer is something of a micro desktop, I appreciate that. Also, it's a perfect "economy car;" it won't give you Lamborghini performance, but it will get you around town just fine. It zipps around the internet, and serves most user very well. All but gamers, and media professionals will do well to buy the "bang for your buck" space saving compute.

Yeah, there a few scuffs on the case as a refurb, but it runs like new with performance that will last for most apps another 5 years. Less than the cost of the OS originally. I've replaced two P3 1gig systems I've been using for over 6 years.
