This is an assemblage of singing cowboys and the bona fide creator and king of Western swing, Bob Wills (and one of Texas's most famous residents), crooning, boogying, and harmonizing about life in the American West. Among the finest moments here are Tex Ritter's "Blood on the Saddle," the Sons of the Pioneers' "Sierra Nevada," Wills' "Lone Star Rag," and Roy Rodgers' "Cowboy Night Herd Song."
