 Plot Summary
 Early in their careers, actors Peter Coyote and Danny Glover appeared in this low-budget item, a try-anything adaptation of Ronald Sukenick's experimental novel.|In the 1960s, an existentialist revolutionary takes his personal credo to America's highways and byways, and he explores these open roads in the style of Jack Kerouac. |He never stays anywhere for very long. As time passes into the 1970s and '80s, he is aghast at society's degeneration from idealistic communalism to greedy self-interest.|But he also discovers that he is forever alienated from everything, good or bad.
