5 of 5 Great product Monday, April 14, 2008 A Customer from Boston MA
Tremendously enhances your cameras capacity. No need to carry your laptop with you for long trips. Takes about 2200 plus pics in a 7.1 M pixel camera.
I am happy. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Good price but very ssssssssloooooooowwwwwwww!!! Monday, April 14, 2008 A Customer from Upstate NY
A good price that comes with a price. The card is ssssslooooooooowww. I could take a photo and wait several minutes for the card to finish writing. Horribly slow! Was this review helpful?

1 of 5 Does not work with Nikon Coolpix 885. Tuesday, April 08, 2008 Nelson W. Winter from Pittsburgh, PA
I gave this product a "1" only because it was not possible to give it a zero. Before buying, I researched the product carefully on both the Dane-Elec and Nikon sites. There was nothing to indicate it would not work with my Nikon Coolpix 885 digital camera. In fact, however, it does not. The camera consistently displays, "Out of memory," even though the camera recognizes that there are no images on the card. I posted a request for support about this at the support section of Dane-Elec's website to see if there was a solution. It's now been 10 days, and there has been no reply. As the card was not returnable to Buy.com, it appears that I completely wasted my money. A very disappointing performance all around. I do not understand why memory manufacturers and camera manufactureres cannot clearly state on their websites which memory cards work with which cameras. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great storage, marginal write performance Tuesday, April 08, 2008 A Customer from St. Louis, MO
I'm using the card in my Canon EOS Rebel XT to shoot auto races. The capacity is wonderful, however the write speed seems to be a bit slow. The read speed is great, but erasing the images from the card takes more time than some of my other cards. It's acceptable, since the camera frames memory buffers sufficiently to let the card catch up in most cases, but increased write speed would have made me a stronger supporter Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works for me !! Tuesday, April 08, 2008 steve quigley from Centreville, MD
I was a bit hesitant to buy this product based on the mixed reviews... but I'm glad I did. Price performance, especially with the rebate, cannot be beat.
The real test was my camera... Canon EOS Rebel... I plugged it in, and it worked, no reformatting, no nothing... plugged it in and took pictures. I recommend this compact flash highly. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Crashed in the First use Tuesday, April 01, 2008 A Customer from Grand Rapids, MI
I used the CF card with Canon digital XT and took pictures. It worked well until I tried to download the pictures and then the CF card was corrupted.
I removed the CF card and inserted it in my CF Card reader on a desktop computer running Vista and then the CF card could not be read on my Computer. I tried with 3 other computers running XP, and Linux and it did not work.
I then inserted it back in the Camera and got an error.
So I lost all my pictures and had to reformat the Card.
I would be REALLY hesitant to use it for an important occasion and will stick to my Kingston CF card that has been reliable for the last 4 years. Was this review helpful?

I do not have this card, but I see that the speed is 12x. These days that is very slow. I have 4 GB cards at speed of 133x and they were not very expensive. If you have a recent digital camera that has fast repeat shooting speed, then you do not want this CF card. Was this review helpful?

I've purchased three items from Dane-Elec - everytime they've found a reason for not honoring and paying on the rebate. From purchased past the date to not the correct upc code (I sent the entire package). This is so insulting. Was this review helpful?

Put the card in my camera and took pictures. Put it in my card reader and copied them to my computer. No problems! Was this review helpful?
10 of 11 customers found this review helpful. 1 of 5 Biggest PoS I've ever bought Wednesday, February 20, 2008 A Customer from Chestnut Hill, MA
DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND CARD UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! I bought this card for use in a digital SLR. Not only did the card crash, but it was unable to be read even by professionals, and I was charged $95 for the privilege of being told the card was a piece of junk. We lost all of the pictures from our daughter's first Christmas. My wife is heartbroken.
Not only that, but their customer service is non-existent. Both my wife and I contacted Dane-Elec (I should have known not to trust some random brand), and never received any responses. The worst product I've ever bought from Buy.com. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Buy a name-brand that will stand behind their products and will respond to customer service requests. 5 of 5 What can I say... It's a 4GB CF Card Sunday, February 17, 2008 GryglaMike from Grygla, MN

5 of 5 Works flawlessly. Wednesday, February 13, 2008 A Customer from Baltimore Maryland
Great price on a great item. I use it in a Minolta Maxxum 7D. I take a lot of sports photos (action shots at youth hockey games). No problems encountered. I strongly recommend. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 4GB for cheap! Wednesday, January 30, 2008 A Customer from Greenup, KY
Great value and works in my Sony DSLR without problem. It also has a 10 year warranty. Very pleased with the price and performance, I just wish it was a little faster. But nothing fast is in this price range. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Great Value - Works Flawlessly Tuesday, January 29, 2008 Lewis Edge from Princeton, NJ USA
I was able to format this card without a moment's problem after installing it in my Olympus Evolt E-510 digital SLR. Shooting a few test photos indicated no problems, so I felt confident enough to shoot hundreds of wedding photos with it. They barely put a dent in the card's capacity and the card didn't slow down my camera.
Since this card performs well and I have not been able to find another one with as much capacity for a price I think it's a great value and will probably buy more. The GE HO97930 USB 2.0 Compact Flash /Microdrive Card Reader - JASHO97930 is a great companion purchase that adapts this card to a high-speed USB port and allows speedy transfer of photos or other data to/from your computer. Purchased this memory for use in Canon Digital Rebel XTi. Canon does not recommend ANY memory manufacturer (can't blame them for not testing every one available) - it worked perfectly right out of the box, and have had NO PROBLEMS with it.
If you're looking for a 4GB CompactFlash, don't hesitate! Was this review helpful?
2 of 4 customers found this review helpful. 1 of 5 Dane 4GB SD Card won't work with my Canon SD800 Monday, December 10, 2007 LAW from Fuquay-Varina, NC
When I use this card in my Canon SD800, after taking a few pictures, I get an "Unidentified Image" error message in my camera. At that point, the remainder of photos I take, before formatting the card, come up with this same error.
After formatting again, the card works fine for a while, then the error condition appears.

I have a Canon A80 camera and wanted a larger card to store more pictures for an up coming trip. Though the owner's manual doesn't mention cards larger than 500KB, it came with only a 32KB, I figured I would give this card a try. I works just fine. I fact it is just as fast as the well known name brand 256KB card I was using. Thanks Buy.com for another great deal! Was this review helpful?

My PDA can take both CF and SD, but not HCSD. THefore CF is my only option for high capacity. I am using it for my DELL x51v, works great. Was this review helpful?
2 of 2 customers found this review helpful. 3 of 5 a little on the slow side Thursday, November 29, 2007 A Customer from Renton, WA
It tends to have a slow write speed and I find myself often waiting for it.
Spend $20 more and get something faster.
Other than that, for a CF card, it does what it's supposed to do. Was this review helpful?
