What can you really say about a flash drive, lol. It does what any other flash drive will do. It works great, use it for portable apps and it has no problems.

2 GB for under 5 bucks, plus free shipping can't be beat! I've owned this for only a couple of weeks, so I can't comment on its longevity. So far, so good though. Originally bought this to be used either for plugging into my car stereo's USB port in playing MP3 files, or for recently purchased Blu-Ray player in order to load on firmware updates. I haven't used it for any of those applications yet, but have used it with my computer for file transfers - no problems. It's also solidly built, and comes with a metal ring to attach to a lanyard or keychain.

I had one of these and used it for a couple months before it just died on me. Thankfully I didn't have anything on it that either wasn't already backed up or wasn't real important. I transferred a file onto it then ejected the drive, went to another computer and inserted the drive (heard the little donkey-donk sound letting me know it saw the drive) went to open the drive and got an error that the disk was not formatted. O.K. I knew I was going to lose everything on it but I told it to refromat. it ran thru the process like it was formatting than got an error that windows could not format the drive....tried everything from quick format, to formatting to fat, fat32, tried using disk manager, nothing worked. So I looked up Dane elec on the web and tried to send them an e-mail (just to see if they had any ideas or would replace the drive (I didn't pay that much for it) but I got no response, so I resent the e-mail, still got no response, so I tossed out the thing. so even though it doesn't cost much, I wouldn't buy it. Unless you can afford to lose your data.

-It is a bit too big for some "next-to" ports. I have no idea why this one is so bulby. -It works fine for something to throw in the bag with some pictures on it--at least it is hard to lose. -It is too inexpensive to be very picky about.

Cost effective. Some kind of loop or strap would be nice. Tiny circle clip on cover makes it difficult to attach to anything. Rounded edges and well fitted cover so it slips into a pocket nicely.

Works as expected. Only thing I didn't like was the cover for the USB plug. It is flimsy, thin plastic and I managed to crack it within 5 minutes of opening the package. I put too much pressure on it while trying to close it and split it along the side of the cover. Still worth the price!

My husband and I work at a college. For Christmas gifts, he bought each staff member one. As he was passing out the gifts, we kept hearing "WOW, COOL!!!" unbelievable price - works perfectly - what more could I ask? Oh yes, I ordered 14 of them and they arrived 3 days after I ordered them. . . with free shipping included! I read reviews before purchasing and some people complained about the drive not having a lanyard or ribbon - petty stuff! We can all put something on the drive to wear it - but we wanted performance and portability and this drive gives us exactly what we needed Great buy! For the price, you cant beat buy.com but a little disappointed because the info stated it came with a strap. One reason why i purchased it so i would not have to put in my pocket. Call Dane-Elec they stated," that was the old model buy.com is selling their newest version doesn't come with a strap". Please update your info buy.com

I just needed a simple flash drive for college, works great, the only cons would be the light. It has a very small light, so sometimes its hard to see if the drive is connected or not, it only bothers me when i use the library, they have some old computers and so sometimes you dont know if the computer has recognized it or not... but not a big deal. I give it an A+

At the price I paid I can't be too picky. It works pretty fast. Only thing is they could have made it so the cap attaches when in use. My kids use them for homework assignments and transferring other info between our home pc's, like music, pics, and homework.

The drive was available for a very good price and delivery was very quick, however, I was of the opinion that it would come with a lanyard. Without the lanyard it is very difficult to keep up with the flash drive because it can get lost in ones pocket or purse. This is the only problem that I have with the item.

If you are looking for a jump drive for storing pic's and/or music then this is a great value and ease to use. On the other hand if you are looking for something that will store data, keep looking. It didnt withstand the data transaction requirements that I needed and I ended up moving on for a flash drive that worked under better conditions. I will use it only for music in the future.

Very quick to load and holds a tremendous amount of information. I actually purchased it to backup photos from a wedding & it held many more larger sized photos than expected. Just be careful - the lid is easily misplaced.

I've had the 1 GB from Dane Elec and it has been fine. For back to school, I gave my fourth grader the 1 GB and bought the 2 GB for my sixth grader. The only gripe I have is that it doesn't come with a lanyard so I have to get creative so the kids won't lose them.

Great price and works wonderful. Didnt take into consideration the width of the jumpdrive. If you have 2 side by side USB ports you may not be able to use this jumpdrive with another. My mistake though. I have purchased a USB hub and additional jumpdrives so all is good in the end. Would buy again but will keep size in mind for future.

The Dane 2gig did not have the neck strap. I sent it back and they replaced it WITH THE EXACT SAME THING - no neck strap. I need that strap but didn't want to take the time to send it back. I would think they would rewrite the description and take out the part about the neck strap being included.

I stubbled upon the site and the product while looking for a new larger jumpdrive. I was very pleased with the price and the speed of shipping. I had one minor frustration but thats mainly because of the age and type of computer I have. The case for this drive is slightly wider than the my other drive so I am not able to plug them into the USB ports side by side. I may have missed reading the dimensions or not even thought about it. Other than that minor issue I was thrilled with my purchase, the price, performance and overall statifaction.

This drive is a quality product made in USA. It was on sale locally this week at almost twice the price. The attached ring fits a key ring perfectly. That is better for me than a neck strap.
