Album Notes and Credits

Notes & Personnel Info
Dance Mix USA 1999 is a continuous-mix dance album featuring 15 segued dance-pop hits and dance floor favorites, most of which date from 1997 and 1998. Actually, there is a number of really big hits here -- Backstreet Boys' "As Long as You Love Me," All Saints' "I Know Where It's At," Lisa Stansfields' "Never Never Gonna Give You Up," Ultra Nate's "Found a Cure," Amber's "One More Night," Jason Nevins' remix of Run-DMC's "It's Like That" -- that will certainly appeal to the casual dance fan. Those same fans might not find the continuous-play nature of Dance Mix USA 1999 appealing, especially if they want clean copies of their favorite radio hits, but listeners that want to simulate the feeling of a dance club will be pleased with this. Scratch that -- this will actually be more appealing for listeners that want to approximate the feeling of what they believe a dance club would be, but they have no real idea what that feeling is like, because they've never been there. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
