4 of 5 Unique Adapter Monday, October 27, 2008 A Customer from Indianapolis, IN
The field for PCI Express wireless adapters is limited. This product works well, but is a little expensive. Many of the newer motherboards are dropping the old PCI slots, so the market for PCI-E will grow. This is a fast adapter, installs easily. Just pricey, like all things N, it seems Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Very fast..but drops signal downloading large file Friday, April 20, 2007 A Customer from Wyckoff, NJ
After installing the card (which took no time at all), I was browsing the Internet at ridiculous speeds (I recently got Verizon FiOS, fiber optic cable to the home). However, the minute I try to download large files, the signal gets droppped and will not reconnect to my wireless router/modem until I either restart the router/modem or the computer. VERY FRUSTRATING! I contacted D-Link support and they were not able to do anything except tell me to call Verizon support. So I am no longer using the card (I hardwired my connection with RG45 Ethernet cable) until I can get new equipment - hopefully a wireless N router. Was this review helpful?
