This product works well enough, my transfer rate increased. I'm on a wireless network and my room doesn't receive internet great. My roommate is always on X-Box hogging bandwidth so this little device helps me keep my connection speed up over the built in wireless card. I am using mine with a Linksys MIMO router. This USB D-Link Wireless N Adapter is an earlier rev A. There has been two updated revisions (rev B, & rev C) since its introduction as far as I know. The adapter was installed on a HP Pavilion a6110n Desktop PC, and computer will not get past the BIOS boot screen while its plug-in. The solution, boot PC without the adapter plug-in, wait until the Windows Vista boot screen appears, then plug it in. The HP computer has the latest bios firmware installed. It's just a hassle to do this each time the computer is restarted or turn on. I don't believe its a Vista issue since it freezes up before the operating system even loads. Once the computer is up and running, it works perfectly fine.
You may not experience the same problem since it may be a particular compatibility problem between this adapter and the HP model stated above.
