1 of 5 No reliability Wednesday, July 01, 2009 A Customer from San Jose, CA
worked fast and smoothly.
Bought this modem in Oct. 2007. Everything was working fine until it died a few months after the warranty expired. (red power LED).
My next modem will not be d-link and it must have 2+ years of warranty. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent replacement Verizon DSL gear: Tuesday, February 10, 2009 Marty from Lynden, WA
Like the combination modem and router, cleans up my DSL installation.
Instructions for Verizon setup are not very good. Others recommended the following settings, which seem to work OK.
Go into the D-Link browser
Create new wan setting
VPI=0
VCI=35
MAC Encapsulation: Routing=LLC/SNAP Bridging,
Obtain IP Address Automatically
Connection Type: MER
Service Name: mer_0_35(default)
Service Category: UBR(UBR without PR)
Service State: Enabled
NAT: Enabled
Firewall: Enabled
IGMP Multicast: Enabled
WAN Service: Enabled
Quality of Service: Disabled
Keep in mind the Verizon issues dynamic IP addresses from a DHCP server. Your net devise may have to be connected for some time before the DHCP server issues the new device an IP address.

4 of 5 good solid modem Tuesday, September 25, 2007 A Customer from orlando, fl
a good solid modem. interface and configuration via web browser/html. for my purposes, i had to put it in bridge mode and let my fedora 7 linux server do the PPPoE login connection. this worked great because i wanted my linux server to be publically accessible and this modem does the job excellently. prior to bridge mode, it handled the PPPoE interface excellent with automatic configuration.
