BENEFITS OF DUAL BAND
The D-Link® Xtreme N™ Dual Band Gigabit Router (DIR-825) is the latest addition to the award-winning Xtreme N product family. The dual band technology in the DIR-825 supports 2.4GHz & 5GHz wireless signals at the same time. This allows you to check e-mail and browse the Internet using the 2.4GHz band while simultaneously streaming High-Definition (HD) movies and other media on the 5GHz band. The DIR-825 is designed for users looking to get a true HD wireless connection that can handle multiple HD video streams throughout the house, while being backward compatible with existing 802.11g and 802.11a products.
POWERED BY HD FUEL
Use the power of HD Fuel to play your movies and games with superior technology over competing routers. We’ve combined the clarity of the 5GHz wireless band with our advanced Intelligent QoS engine to create a technology ideally suited for streaming your HD media.
WHY INTELLIGENT QoS IS BETTER!
With some routers, all wired and wireless traffic, including Voice over IP (VoIP), Video Streaming, Online Gaming, and Web browsing are mixed together into a single data stream. By handling data this way, applications like Streaming Video could pause or delay. With the D-Link Intelligent QoS Prioritization Technology, wired and wireless traffic are analyzed and separated into multiple data streams. These streams are then categorized by sensitivity to delay, so applications like VoIP, Video Streaming, and Online Gaming are given priority over Web browsing. This enables multiple applications like Streaming Video and Gaming to stream smoothly to your TV or PC.
Delivering best-in-class performance, network security, and coverage, the Xtreme N Dual Band Gigabit Router (DIR-825) is the ideal centerpiece for your wireless network in the home or office.

4 of 5 Good Router, Not Advertised Revision! 8/28/2010
A customer from Cincinnati, OH
Router arrived quickly, but is NOT Rev B hardware as advertised. I received Rev A hardware. Also, it still had the previous user's settings and needed to be reset before I could configure it.

2 of 5 You don't always get what you paid for 5/14/2010
AC from Ga
This is horrible. I can't be on my landline phone and the internet at the same time without losing a connection. The simplicity of set up...not so much. It is hooked up the way instructed. Now I can connect at all wireless OR from my desktop. I've shut the computer down and tried to reset the router to no avail. Unhappy doesn't begin to describe my experience with this product.

4.7 of 5 DON'T Upgrade Firmware! 7/26/2009
from Lakeland, FL
Got this router a few months back and it has been working great until I upgraded the firmware from 1.01 to 1.11. Since then the router locks up after 2 days and other are having lots of issues with this new firmware. You are OK if you get the B hardware version so beware. Other than that it was a great router until the firmware upgrade. Tech support sucks from India and you get more support from the Dlink forum at the dlink site.

1 of 5 Terrible Product 1/27/2009
from Salt Lake City, Utah
The router worked for 1 week and then locked up. Had to do a reset to get it to connect to the internet again only after having to enter the ComCast IP info for a second time!
Less than a week later the router locked up again and resetting did not fix the problem!
Called tech support and got someone in India who has NO product knowledge. After being on the phone for 1 hour I was no better off. The call was a complete waste of time and their tech support is terrible!
This router is a joke and I should never have switched to D-LINK!
I own a lot of tech products and this ranks as one of the worst products I have ever purchased!

Dlink gave me an RMA to replace that one. i just could not wait and bought this one .equally fast. will use other one somewhere else when replacement arrives. customer service was little tough

5 of 5 Awesome 10/2/2008
from Wilmington, DE
Have had it up and running for two weeks now with no issues at all. Upgraded to firmware 1.01 as soon as it arrived, and then set it up. The range is great with all of my wireless devices, and especially with the D-Link Xtreme N Desktop Adapter. Great router. This is my third D-Llnk router I have owned. Awesome.
