Want to monitor your kids? Or babysit the babysitter?

The D-Link® Wireless G Network Camera (DCS-920) connects to a wireless (or wired) network to provide remote high-quality video surveillance. With its sleek compact design, the DCS-920 is an affordable network camera ideal for your home or small business. Since the DCS-920 is a wireless camera, you can place it in areas that have no access to an Ethernet (wired) connection, such as ceilings or high walls. Additionally, with support for WPA®-PSK and WPA2®, the DCS-920 provides you with the highest level of security when connecting to your wireless network, enabling you to stream high-quality MJPEG video quickly and easily to your computer.

EASY NETWORK SETUP
The DCS-920 adheres to the Universal Plug & Play (UPnP®) specification, which allows for automatic detection and addition to a network. Once recognized by your network, the DCS-920 can be accessed and viewed from “My Network Places” as a device on your network. You can then keep an eye out on your kids, pets, home or office by simply logging onto the DCS-920 web interface using a Java™-based browser from any computer with Internet access, even away from home.

CAMERA MANAGEMENT
For advanced users that want more out of their camera, the DCS-920 also comes with D-Link D-ViewCam™ 2.0 management software. D-ViewCam comes with a host of features including the ability to record directly from the camera to a local hard drive, trigger motion detection, set recording schedules, set e-mail alert notifications, and even support for up to 32 cameras. D-ViewCam also allows you to upload a floor plan of your home or small business and create a realistic layout of where your cameras are located, providing you with better access to your camera.

With features such as MJPEG video streaming, wireless connectivity, and D-ViewCam™ 2.0 management, the D-Link Wireless G Network Camera (DCS-920) is a cost-effective and versatile security solution for your home or small business.

5 of 5 GREAT CAMERA, but get different software!!! 5/2/2010
Guns are Freedom from Fort Lauderdale, FL
I love this camera!!!! I have it in the carport to monitor the backyard and gates. The camera ROCKS - the software that comes with it SUCKS!!! I did some research on this and found another program that is absolutely phenomenal with this camera!!! It is called Blue Iris and it is truely remarkable what this thing can do. I love the fact that I can have it TEXT my phone when motion is detected and then email an image of the event. I work five minutes from home, which means that if I see something that looks suspicious in one of these images, I can zoom home and check it out! It gives me great peace of mind knowing that the camera and software are working together to protect my home!!! In closing, this is a great camera that needs different software than the one provided. BLUE IRIS is the fix that you need to make this thing function the way it is supposed to!!!! I LOVE IT and will be ordering a couple more very soon!

5 of 5 Using 2 of these now 3/25/2010
Alex from Chantilly, VA
Great reliable camera with web access and optional local client install for admin and recording. Only issue I've had so far is the install on Windows 7 64-bit.

1.7 of 5 Stay away from linksys DCS 920 3/2/2010
from Redmond, WA
This is one of those products that creates work and problems for you instead of solving them. The problem with this device is that the email function simply does not work. No amount of time, and I have spent a considerable amount of it on my 3 open work orders, spent with tech support can fix it. The only way it makes sense, therefore, to use this camera is to sit and watch it continuously. There is no way to successfully configure this camera to send notification emails when motion is detected. Maybe someday they will fix the software but for now, stay away.

4.3 of 5 Nice camera but klunky software 6/17/2009
Bob from Dubuque, IA
Camera works well. Good resolution for the money, good motion, good color. Minor difficulties hooking up to wireless network. Accompanying D-ViewCam software functional but very klunky. Minimal customization of layout, and windows is either maximized or minimized - no restore - so if you only have one monitor, you can't view your cameras and work in another application at the same time.

4.3 of 5 Great Camera but not the sofware 9/22/2008
ttuqa6066 from Centreville, VA
I like the camera. It is easy to setup with its built-in html web. An extra step configuration on the router to open the different port will alllow me to view the camera remotely. It provides smooth video within the router. But it has a ziz over remotely. D-ViewCam software is not good. This is D-Link software comes with it but I can't never connect the camera to it. Don't know why. It keeps searching for the camera without success.

4.3 of 5 Good value for money. 9/9/2008
from Wheeling, IL
Nice product. Got it working within minutes. Lots of cool features. Very useful if you are interested in monitoring a particular area/room. Works good in low light too. Works wonderful over internet. Admin interface cud have been nicer. Works slower on wireless connection that expected.
