5 of 5 Flat out awesome Sunday, June 08, 2003 Brian from Illinois
These cards are fantastic. I own and use 7 of them on a daily basis without any problems whatsoever. I have installed over 35 of them in various windows based computers without any hitches. Win95/95B, 98/98SE, ME, 2k, NT4, XP - It's about the easiest thing you can install. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 wonderful item Tuesday, August 27, 2002 A Customer from Janesville, IL
Can't beat this card. I now have 7 of them, and no problems. They are cheap, relaible, easy to install (the old drivers you had to be carefull installing under 95, but haven't tried a 95 install with the new drivers), and perform well. Was this review helpful?

The physical installation was staightforward. Unfortunately, the instructions were poor and skimpy, especially for the driver on a floppy. Eventually I figured it out by using the help files (uses MS-DOS) on the floppy, to find OS specific instuctions (W98 in my situation). It took some time, but it works fine. For the price however, it's still a good product. Was this review helpful?

I bought two of these cards with a D-704 gateway. The one that I installed in my newer PC running WinME was running in ten minutes. I downloaded the latest driver from their website and simply pointed the installation software to it. Unfortunately, I have yet to get the card working on Win98. The installation froze twice and then installed it improperly. Whenever the card is installed, Internet Explorer crashes as soon as I open it. When I uninstall it and remove it from the PC, IE works fine. I have tried installing the card about six times in various slots, but I still can't get it working. Was this review helpful?

I have D-Link router DI-704 and D-Link DSS-8+ hup. The router is connected to the cable modem and the hup provides LAN connection. Both of them are easy to install, quite and very reliable. I would recommend both of them.
Recently, I bought the DFE-530TX+ PCI 10/100 RJ45 PLUS WAKE ON LAN card. I bought it for the good price and I believed in the D-Link brand.
However, in the box I received, the floppy disk does not have the right driver for 530TX, the Window 98 does not recognize the card and the LAN card light does not turn on. I have installed six other cards before. None behaved in this way. I am surprised and disappointed. Should I return the DFE-530TX+ for replacement? Or for refund?

I bought thirty of these for a networking project I just completed and did not have a single problem with any of these cards. I am going to use these for all my jobs from now. They are reliable and cheap. Was this review helpful?
