I am very pleased with this 2.1 iPod/computer speaker system. From the moment it was unpacked I was impressed with the quality and appearance of the speakers. Installation was very easy, I plugged into the audio out jack on my Mac G5, set the two mains on either side of my monitor, placed the iPod dock on my left and the subwoofer on the floor beneath my desk. Operation is straight forward. The iPod will serve as the sound source when it is in the dock and turned on. Turn the iPod off, or pause it and the audio out on the computer becomes the sound source. As long as the ipod is in the dock and the speakers turned on the iPod battery will be charged. At 110 watts output this system has more than enough power to deliver the range of Bass, mid-range, and treble as loud as you can tolerate. The remote is a nice feature with it's iPod controls on/off, song advance, play and pause functions. The volume control is quite responsive to either the remote or the touch controls on the iPod dock. If you are looking for a quality computer sound with a built in iPod dock This is the unit to purchase.
