I am not sure if i just got a defective product or not, but it is not what i was expecting at all. All of the reviews said good things about this product, but I was not impressed at all. The sub was more of a rattle, than a nice crisp bass (like it should be). I guess that is what you get for the price. I would suggest getting the nicer quality speakers, such a Bosse, but if you are on a budget, then i suggest getting a logitech system. I have herd the logitech system first hand, so i can say it is much better than the cyber acoustic. The shipping was nice and quick, thank you buy.com, but as for the speakers, very dissapointed. These speakers, and especially the subwoofer, are amazing. I bought these speakers because of the price (and my old subwoofer exploded on me) and I didn't expect them to be top of the line, just merely standard or sub-standards (considering the price). But I was blown away! The bass is LOUD and so are the speakers. I can't say enough good things about this setup. It's a steal for the price! Was this review helpful?

This speaker and sub system sounds fantastic! It was a great step up from my smaller 2.1 Cyber Acoustics system that I had before. Subwoofer is a real wood box, so it has natural sound.
no clunky power adapter, its built into the sub. so just has a tiny plug in.

All I can say is that you wouldn't think, because of how cheap it is, that this system would be any good, but you'd be WRONG!!! I was amazed when I set it all up and turned on some music on my laptop. It delivers an unbelieveably full sound, excellent bass and just a great surround sound. You can control the bass which is nice because some songs really pound it and I just leave the volume up to max on the speakers and control the sound from the laptop, it goes really loud and was really easy to setup. These speakers are the most bang for your buck. the price is so cheap for the sound they make. They are not the loudest speakers on the market but they are enough for me. Pop a sound card in with these babies and they sound great. The satilites sound a little tinny on certain songs. The bass is great. Overall i am completely satisfied with these speakers and had no problems what so ever . Was this review helpful?

I purchased 3 sets for my computer room for 3 computers. All work well, except one the lights in one of the speaker base went out then the subwoofer went out. I returned it for a replacement and so far I am happy with them. One thing, the speaker bases have blue neon lights that stay on when speakers are on. You must turn off speakers to turn off lights. I did not know this and was glad my computer is not in my bedroom as I leave the computer on all the time. For the money its worth it. Was this review helpful?

These speakers are a great buy. The output is more than enough for PC use. Viewing DVD's on your PC will surprise you with the sound quality. You can control the bass level & volume level easy. These have great bass, especially for the low price. Mid and high ranges sound is plastic/tin junk. Also they need an integrated power supply in the sub-woofer but unfortunately the supplied wall wort power supply really adds to your cable clutter. I'd recommend upgrading to the next higher model or trying a different brand. If this is all you can afford they are a good value but I was disappointed by the sound quality, and power brick design. Nice thin speakers by monitor. the speakers have blue led lights on them so night time, with lights out gives the monitor a blue glow. No big deal but wish they weren't as bright. These Cyber Acoustic 3550 model speakers are a pretty good value at their low price especially with the buy.com free shipping.
The bass is strong BUT the desktop speakers sound VERY POOR. If you only care about hearing bass then they are just fine. But for me I like a balanced sound with good mid and high frequency response and these are terrible in the mid to high frequencies.
Maybe the more expensive CA speakers are better but based on this 1st experience with CA I would NOT recommend them unless this is absolutely all you can afford. Also these come with the anoying wall wort power supply, it would be better if this was built into the subwoofer.
My Yamaha YST-MS50 speakers (that I bought a few months ago on buy.com for only about $20 more) are easily ten times better sounding. They blow away the CA3550. I think my CA3550s are headed for the trash bin or ebay. I wish buy.com would bring the Yamaha�s back. Was this review helpful?

First of all, comparing similar priced speaker systems this one by far boast the most watts...and believe me you can hear it!! An impressive 68 watts of power from this compact system had me rockin' before I even hit half throttle. Highs are crisp, deep throbing lows, and everything between crystal clear with no audible distortion. At only $35 the only problem I found was that I didn't buy them sooner! Was this review helpful?

I have been using the Cyber Accustics speakers that came with my PC,for the past three years, and I must say that I have been very happy with the sound [22watt system, 2.1 config.] I just installed a very high end sound card im my system,and wanted more powerfull speakers, so given the fact that I use my PC seven days a week and never had a problem with the speakers, I decieded to go ahead with the same company..........the sound these speakers put out is UNREAL,the only disapointment was that they dont also come in white anymore,the blacks look sharp but still would have prefered the white..when I crank them up no one believes what i paid for them,got a big return for little bucks Was this review helpful?
