Gave this as a gift to a wine connoisseur. Once he opened it, it worked for a day or two. But all of a sudden, the refrigerator didnt't work anymore. The led control panel display which shows the temperature doesn't work and
the control panel doesn't respond to the buttons. Only the refrigerator light works.
Could just be a defective cellar but unfortunately, during the time he opened it and when it became defective, the return policy days had expired.

This item has been discontinued by Cuisinart which is why it's offered at such a reasonable price. There are 3 racks that hold 3 bottles each, plus 3 standing up. It holds 1.5 liter bottles as well, but then you can't stand 3 in front. The fan runs constantly and is very noticeable in an otherwise quiet room. Very little vibration. There is no power usage listed, but I measured about 5KW hours in one week in a 78-84 degree room so it's going to be cheaper than your fridge. Instructions recommend the room it is in be kept at 72 degrees or below but it maintained setting 3 (red wine) with no problem. Temperature resets if the power goes out. My A/C is off during the day, so I needed something to protect my wine and this has done a decent job so far. Was this review helpful?
