It's a lot more convenient putting your ipod in this than having a loose cable hanging around your desk. However, if you have a protective cover on your ipod, you're going to have to take it off and put it back on each time. (or leave it off)

The picture is out-of-date. Item received is more bulky with same features. Inserting iPod seems stiff. I paid $12 - not worth much more.
