RAM works perfectly... no problem to install, no problem with performance. There's not much you can say about excellent RAM, except that it doesn't cause you any problems or headaches, and this RAM caused neither. Was this review helpful?

I use my computer for internet surfing. I am not sure how to assess the performance of this RAM. I had 512 MB and now it is 2.5 GB. I guess its running faster but dont have a way to quantify that Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works great in a HP 2133 Min-Note Monday, December 01, 2008 cpallenjr from seattle, wa
It worked perfectly. Took < 5mins to install. Caution: Crucial has a complicated part numbering system - always verify the application with crucial.com support before purchasing. The rebate made this a sweet deal. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Upgrade!! Tuesday, November 25, 2008 Jim from Chicago
Only took a few seconds to install and made the world of difference to my old laptop. I had installed Norton's 360 on my laptop and it slowed the whole thing down, but now it's performing faster than it was before. Was this review helpful?

Memory works like a charm in my Compaq F761US. Always had good luck with Crucial in the past (upgraded most of our office with Crucial Memory and have no issues), so this was an easy choice when comparing prices. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Pretty Good Tuesday, November 18, 2008 A Customer from Demotte, IN
This works well in my laptop. I didn't realize that my version wasn't going to recognize more than 2.8 gb of it, but that is more me than the site. For the price I paid, it was totally worth it.
Actually, it was cheaper to get these larger size ones that the smaller ones, so in the end, I still came out ahead. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Value for the Price.. Sunday, November 09, 2008 A Customer from St. Louis, MO
The memory was easy to install into my Dell Inspiron laptop.
The power consumption is perhaps the best feature about this module.
Unlike the previous module I bought which caused my laptop to consume more power and the cooling fan to go off all the time and spew out heat, this one hardly consumes any significant extra power.
Best performance and great value for the price.. Highly recommended. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Amazing Product Tuesday, October 21, 2008 Eric from Worcester, MA
I used the memory to upgrade my new vista laptop from two gigs to four gigs. I noticed while watching video the screen would occasionally freeze, but now it no longer does. The memory was very easy to install, and the price couldn't be beat! I would highly recommend this for anyone looking to upgrade their laptop memory (as long as its compatible). Worked just ok out of box for IBM Thinkpad T60 (1953). Was worried to put this 2GB with the existing 512MB on thoughts of losing dual channel since its unequal... but worked just charming (Guess async dual channel kicks-in) and I no difference at all and the notebook rockz now.

5 of 5 Works in MacBook Pro 15" Tuesday, July 15, 2008 Terry Harrison from Norfolk, Virginia
The specs all matched the RAM requirements for my 15" MacBook Pro, but the fit was tight (I suppose that's better than loose!). I put in 4GB, of which my Mac model was supposed to only be able to address 3GB, but my "About this Mac" screen shows 4GB and I've had no issues. Hooray. I used a $15 rebate for each 2GB stick, which made for a great price. Cheers!
I debated only getting (1)2GB stick so I could upgrade from (2)x 1GB to what I thought was my "3GB limit", but I'm glad I went for (2)x2GB... peace of mind, max performance upgrade, and max RAM.... what's not to love! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Worth the upgrade! Monday, July 14, 2008 Mako from Tallahassee, FL
I put two of these in my Dell E1705 which originally had two gigs of RAM. Seems to be working perfectly. You end up with 3.4G of usable RAM. Was this review helpful?

well it's ram, it's super cheap (funny how the cost of ram being so cheap can make a new computer cost the same as a used on off of **ay). It has not failed me yet and has been heavily used. Was this review helpful?

2 of 3 customers found this review helpful. 3 of 5 Crucial = Samsung? Tuesday, April 22, 2008 A Customer from Micron
I purchased this 2GB stick for my laptop. It seems to work fine but i dont think it is crucial memory. The packing says crucial but there are 2 lables on the memory, one side says crucial, the other says samsung. When using CPU-Z to see who manufactures the memory it says samsung. I contacted crucial who didnt have much to say about this. Anyway it seems to work fine. Maybe this was just a manufacturing mixup. Has anyone else had this problem. I always buy crucial memory. In the past 10 years i have NEVER had a problem with there memory. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Crucial is one of the BEST Tuesday, February 12, 2008 A Customer from Tampa, FL
I've used Crucial a couple of times for both PC & Mac and have never had a problem with the quality. They also have a lifetime warranty.
I put two of these 2GB stick in my new 24" alum. iMac and it works like a charm.
Buy.com usually has rebates making it cheaper to buy from Crucial memory from Buy.com instead of directly through crucial.com. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Big performance boost in a tiny package Wednesday, January 30, 2008 A Customer from Cleveland, Ohio
Picked up two of these for a new MacBook and saw an immediate improvement in performance overall. Price, with rebate, was reasonable. Shipping was fast (albeit a little pricy). With RAM as cheap as this, it just makes sense to max out when getting a new machine. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Works Great!!! Saturday, January 26, 2008 Rich from Santa Barbara, CA
I bought this for my Macbook Pro to upgrade my existing 1.5 GB of memory to 3 GB. However when I first installed the new memory, it wouldn't start up when I combined it with my 1GB memory I had previously in there. So, I took the 1 GB memory out, and am running solely on this 2 GB memory, and it started up no problem. So, I decided to order another for a total of 4 GB of memory. So far so good, no problems, and my computer is noticeably faster! And on top of that, you cant beat this amazing price! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Product, company, price - all good Friday, January 25, 2008 PreserveThe2nd from Newport, Wash.
As usual, a laptop is not sold with enough RAM memory to do a proper job - especially using Vista. I increased my RAM memory by buying two of the 2 gb RAM cards bringing my memory level up to 4 gb total. My 2 gb of old memory to be given away.
I contacted Crucial and they were extremely helpful in making sure this was the proper memory for my laptop. Their website also has a form to use that lets you locate your computer and the memory that would work with it. Both procedures worked well.
The price was extremely competitive and lower than most.
I highly recommend Crucial and Buy.com (which I use fairly often). Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Now with more memory I will forget what I'm doing Thursday, January 17, 2008 A Customer from Knoxville, TN
I own a Lenovo 3000 N100. Installing this memory stick went very easily. I use Kubuntu Linux which has a built in memory tester which I ran with no issues at all. The OS immediately recognized the full 2 Gigs in one slot. Hopefully, there will be a BIOS upgrade permitting a total of 4 Gigs so I can buy another one of these sticks. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Price to upgrade a Macbook Pro Wednesday, January 16, 2008 rw from Indianapolis, IN
Great ram and it works perfect with my Macbook Pro, versus the apple update price of $700 for 4GB, I'll happily pay $120 with a rebate... And shipping was great as well, I had it installed in minutes.

5 of 5 Computer Energizer Wednesday, January 09, 2008 Robert from Huntington Beach, CA
I upgraded my Asus gaming computer from 2G to 4G of memory and noticed increased performance though Vista only will see and use 3G of memory. Price I thought was great till I saw the next week after receiving the memory that Buy.com was selling same memory without rebate cheaper than I bought with rebate. I guess it does pay to wait and contemplate purchases! Be that as it may I will continue to shop with Buy.com with great customer service, quick delivery and tremendous selection of products.
