The Crucial 2GB microSD card is for use in devices equipped with microSD slots. The card can utilize the provided adapter that converts the microSD card into a regular-sized SD card, allowing the microSD to be used with other regular SD-compatible devices, such as digital cameras, MP3 players, and handheld computers. The adapter is also convenient for using a microSD card in card readers that accept SD cards but not microSD cards.

Like regular SD cards, the microSD card's nimble data transfer makes it ideal for portable electronic devices, and its low battery consumption makes it ideal for use in battery-powered products.

MicroSD cards are used more like a hard drive than RAM. They are designed with flash technology, a non-volatile storage solution that does not lose its information when power is removed from the card. The cards contain no moving parts and are extremely rugged, providing much greater data protection than conventional magnetic disk drives.

The microSD card that I purchased works wonderfully. I use it with my Chocolate VX8550 and it makes it very easy to put music on my phone. It makes it nice because there is no cord or anything. This product comes with the little SD card as well as an adapter that you snap the card into that just slides into your SD slot in the laptop. I am very satisfied with how easy this is.

I slid the micro SD card into the slot for it on my Samsung 540 cell phone. I navigated the Storage menus to have to phone start pointing to the new card instead of internal memory. The micro SD card added nearly 2GB of storage to my cell phone, and I keep the photos and videos I take on it. Good product, amazing bargain of a price.

My grandchild installed the micro card into her cell phone, transferred photos to it, removed it and passed it to me. I placed the micro into the SD adapter and printed directly to the photo printer without a snag. Everything is working as advertised . . . or even better!

This card works just fine. Normally I buy Sandisk Extreme cards. But, I figured I give this a try as I was going to use it for my DVD player that has front USB port. Because the DVD player only reads cards formatted on FAT32, that's the reason why I bought this card. Overall I recommend this card.

I bought this item and it works great. No problems in installing and making it work. My cell phone recognizes this microSD immediately on inserting it. Works just fine in my MP3/MP4 player. My older 3.6GHZ P4 computer running XP SP2 won't recognize it in the SD adapter. It does recognize it when installed in the MP3 player. Works perfectly in my newer computers running either XP or Vista. It might just be me, but it seems about 2X slower to load than full sized SD cards.
