The memory worked as advertised. Delivery was on time. A word of caution; don't expect any service from Buy.com if you want to change an order. There is no service after order placement, none, zero. I tried without any success to correct my zip code from the one that was on file to a new code issued by the USPS. Starting 5 minutes after the order was placed and continuing through UPS Lite, there is just no way. Triple check your order before pressing that last key. Was this review helpful?

I like crucial website . You can scan and find out what kind of memory you have in your PC or laptop. I bought the kit and installed in my daughter's laptop without any problem .

According to Crucial's website, the only 2GB kit (1GB X 2)they offer that was compatible with the HP Pavilion dv2125nr was part number CT665756 (which is a different part number from what is being here at Buy.com). I decided to try it out anyway since Buy.com was selling this memory about 40% cheaper (after mail-in rebate) than what Crucial was selling for at their site. I installed it and the memory worked fine. The program CPU-Z detects that memory sticks are operating at the specified frequency of 667MHz. No memory errors detected when tested using MemTest. So this RAM seems to be 100%compatible with this series of notebooks even though it's not listed on Crucial's site as being compatible. Highly recommended. Was this review helpful?

I recently purchased a Dell Vostro laptop running Vista Basic. It came with 1 GB of memory installed and Vista was running surprisingly well considering all the complaints I had read about its slow performance. However, when Buy.com offered a rebate on this memory, I couldn't resist upgrading to 2 GB. I have always had good success with Crucial memory. Before I purchased, I logged on to their site to confirm this memory was compatible. It installed easily and was instantly recognized by the computer. I've had no problems and expect none. I had a CTL laptop. Its a U553 travel master. The memory arrived as scheduled and was reasonably easy to install. I had a bit of difficulty with the second module since it was slightly different. Have been using the memory for 1 week now and so far no issues with the product. I installed both the modules into my laptop and on booting it automatically recognized them.
I didn't see much difference in booting but login and Internet browsing seems to be pretty fast after this. One thing which irritated me is - After the item left Buy.com's warehouse I was unable to track using the tracking # provided since the UPS/USPS combination doesn't seem to work out at times. They didn't update the tracking until it was delivered ! Was this review helpful?
