 Editor's Note
Pop sensation Britney Spears makes her film debut in this sparkling teen road-trip adventure. Spears stars as Lucy, the beautiful valedictorian of her small Georgia hometown who has lost touch with her childhood best friends Mimi (Taryn Manning), a boyish trailer park sweetheart who happens to be pregnant, and Kit (Zoe Saldana) a luxury-obsessed overachiever who dreams of marrying her older boyfriend. Although it seems that they are all headed in separate directions, Mimi's planned cross-country trip to Los Angeles in hopes of securing a recording contract brings the old friends together for a life-altering adventure. Lucy's own dream of reuniting with her estranged mother (Kim Cattrall), who abandoned her and her auto mechanic father (Dan Aykroyd) when Lucy was only three, propels the normally cautious Lucy to take part and together they hit the road, chauffeured by Mimi's handsome loner friend Ben (Anson Mount). Their journey is plagued with many seemingly insurmountable difficulties, beginning with major car troubles that cost the girls all of their money to fix. However, they are able to raise more than enough money to pay for the repairs in a karaoke competition where Lucy (in Britney form) wows the crowd with a sexy rendition of Joan Jett's "I Love Rock 'n Roll." As the young girls head towards Los Angeles in Ben's 1973 Buick convertible they face love, heartache, and loss while distancing themselves from childhood innocence in this heartwarming coming-of-age tale filled with plenty of moments for megastar Britney to shine.

4 of 5 Britney makes her official screen debut Saturday, December 04, 2004 Chris Eberlein from USA
To put it simply: Britney's actually a pretty good actress, she just needs a better movie. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Britney is GREAT!!! Thursday, November 21, 2002 tasha1981 from Clovis, CA
This movie "crossroads" is a really good movie. At first I thought it would be some stupid movie that she loses her virginity and all. But as I got into the movie more I realized that I was wrong. She is such a great actress. When Britney cried cuz of her mom not wanting her and telling her that she was a mistake, that made me cry so much. I can understand where she comes from. Even though my dad says that he wants me and that I was never a mistake you still feel that cuz when they are not around you wonder. And that part of the movie hit me big time. 5 of 5 True friendship NEVER dies! Saturday, July 27, 2002 A Viewer from California
I loved this movie! It "crossed" all my tastes! It starts out with girls that bury a box filled with their hopes. They open it up on their graduation night....from there on, it's a journey you will never forget. The cast worked great together and the story really was making the point true friendship NEVER dies Was this review helpful?

Britney Spears is an amazing talented singer, songwriter, actress and performer! I am her #1 fan! I am not only writing this review because I love her so much, but because the movie was so awesome n' funny n' the best all around movie ever. She is a great actress and this movie protays in a real-life manner what so many teens go through - like parents abandoning them and not loving them. Personally I don't see how anyone couldn't love Britney Spears. She is HOTTTTT!!! Well thanx for allowing me to write a review on the Best movie ever~~CROSSROADS~~ Was this review helpful?
