CreatureII Desktop Speaker System - CREATURE-II-WHT

I used to have one of those in black before but sometimes when you need to make a very loud noice you will need 5.1 - 7.1 sound system. I got this white speakers for my wife and they was very good. I will recommend it to any one and they look geat.

In general, I'd like better low end response from these speakers - I definitely prefer the sound of my Altec Lansing speakers that I bought for my other computer. That said, the sound from these speakers isn't bad and my Altec Lansings have a bigger sub and cost $30-$40 more than what I paid for the JBLs, so I can't complain.<br><br> So my bottom line: The price/performance ratio of these speakers is great, I don't think you'll find any other speakers that will challenge these for $49. Aesthetically they are nice too - very small on the desk and they look great next to a white iMac.

It is worth the cost. One wouldnt imagine how such small speakers produce clear and loud sound. I am completely satisfied of what I got. Moreover its JBL!

I have bought two of these over the last 4 years.....just terrific! Sound great, small, and be moved all over the desk/shelves.

Pros:Works well with nice sound, Unique looking, Woofer can be used as footrest :-) Cons: No bypass headphone Jack, Uses wattage when not used (like most speakers)

I have had Creature speakers for more than 2 years and love them. I paid $99 for the one's I am using and have been so pleased I bought another set (at a much lower price on Buy.com) as a gift. Mine are hooked up to my computer, which makes it a real stereo set. The set just purchased as a gift will be connected to an iPod. You can't do much better than these at this price.

They were very easy to hook up and they sound great. High's are very clear and bass is good. Looks cool too. No complaints.

I bought this from Buy.com and it's really worth paying. Sound gives a night club experience. I can't believe that the speaker of this size can give this kind of output. It has been really amazing. Thank you..

nice looking for sure sounds very good i like them for this price its a steal excellent looking speakers goes well with my desktop nice that they give cable adapters for rca to 1/8 inch an over all great value thanks buy.com they shipped to me very quickly!!

After looking for an iPod dock for my office I saw the Creature IIs on sale at buy.com for less than many of the dedicated iPod docks. Since I won't be moving the speakers often, they're the perfect solution for me. I'm using them with a 2G Nano and a line-out adapter. Great sound, easy setup. Bass, treble and volume controls are convenient and easy to use. Especially handy when you have a variety of music with different recording levels on your iPod. I'm constantly making quick adjustments when listening on shuffle.

I must say that the service was excellent and so was the price. The added bonus was the shipping. I have never gotten anything so fast and on a Saturday without paying extra. Can't beat that. Now to the merchandise. What a deal for the price. A nice set of beautiful speakers to go with my new Mac Pro system. Now when I'm blasting my Final Cut Pro projects I am listening to them with very good balanced sound. Now I can hear what I'm putting out to clients before I drop it down to the final product with nice clarity. Get them it's worth it.

The white CreatureII matches perfectly with my Mac laptop. The sound is very good, only bad part is that the on/off switch is hard to get to.

jbl creature II white is a great product which i have recently just bought. great sound i must say!! my brother has one in black therefore i wanted one for myself. buy.com offered it for a good price compared to other online stores. i bought it yesterday and got it the next day, i was impressed for the fast delivery cuz i didnt think it would get to my house the next day but i was wrong. i didnt have to wait too long and not only that it was shipped free. thank you!

ilounge.com (all things ipod) rated these speakers "A". It was one of the few speakers rated this high. They are an excellent value. They were very easy to set up. If you plan on getting these for your ipod, you'll also need to get a docking station (about $40) for Apple's or Kensington. I got a Kensington which looks much cooler that Apple's

I bought this as a present for my sister. She's a big music lover and she keeps playing music the entire day. So far the quality is excellent for such small speakers even if she puts it to the highest volume. I'm not sure about durability though since I only bought this past September 26, 2006. Hopefully it'll last very long. Definitely a must buy if you want strong, loud speakers (for an excellent price) when there's very little desk space.

Bought these speakers over two years ago (at nearly double the current price!!)for my daughter to use at college, and they're still going strong. In fact have just purchased another set for my younger daughter for college too. They have plenty of power (even when used with the grossly under-powered MacBook),great sound quality, excellent bass, treble, and volume controls. And they still look cool. Don't think there are better 2.1 computer speakers for the price.

I have a MAC so these white speakers fit right in with the work area. They are good performers for the price and the controls on the sub work well. My only wish would be for a little more volume.

I have a set of these for my PC and for music, games, DVD's they are awesome. In fact I am buying another set of them I like them so much. I am fond of JBL products, also have a set of 35 year old JBL L-65 Studio Monitors that sound as good as the day I bought them. This is another reason I went with the Creatures, longivity and quality along with excellence in sound reproduction.

I keep subwoofer under bed and speakers on either side. Great to watch DVDs on laptop at night. Also great for ipod around bedroom.

these arent the high-powered "knock your toupee off your head" speakers like the logitechs or the klipsche's. but if youre in the market for some speakers to just listen to music on, then these are more than sufficient. I'm surprised at how faithfully they produce music - they really do sound good. they may be expensive relative to their specs, but JBL has really put out a quality product and i would recommend these to anyone.

I absolutely love these speakers/subwoofer. The sound is AMAZING. Installation EASY. Design Perfect for my MAC. Price is UNBEATABLE. I am so glad I bought 'em.

Got these for my new eMac in May. Although they sound OK and look cool, I've not been too impressed with the sound quality. Seems the sound level really needs to be cranked up on the eMac to get decent volume outta these puppies. My Cambridge speakers at half the price sound much better.

I belive that these speakers are just great for anyone. They have easy to use volume, and equalizer controls. Simple to set up and start using. Great sound too! These Sperkers produce a lot of bass. Don't be fooled by it's wierd shape, it's a great buy.

When your eyes trace its contours, I would find it hard to believe if you aren't attracted to JBL's shapely Creature IIs. I originally purchased my set of silver/gray Creatures to match my new powerbook -- stylistically, they are a sharp match. If that statement didn't summarize the primary feature/selling point of this sub and pair of accompanying sats, I will make it unmistakeable: these speakers are alluring because of their unique design cues--like chromed out grilles, buttons, and knobs--ventrally located power LEDs on the satelites that are reminiscent of a tricked out street racer--and most apparently, the bold coloring and psuedo-amorphous shape. For the audiophiles considering these speakers, they are, for their size, quite decent. I find that the subwoofer outshines the satellites--that Vulcan spaceship looking, downward firing, centerpiece can really move air. An additional feature that I appreciate is the way that the connectors and plugs "snap" when they are inserted into their respectible ports, forming a clasp that prevents connections from slipping and sound from crackling. In summary, buy these if you want a definite "cool-factor" 2.1 system that produces good sound for average user.
