4 of 5 Pretty good! Friday, March 24, 2006
Toan Nguyen from Oakland, CA

Pros: - Decent sound quality. - Decent price - Feature-packed Cons: - I wish there would be a separate BACKLIGHT button so that I can see the screen in the dark without going to OPTIONS and turn it on. The real pain is if you turn the backlight on, it will light up whenever you touch a button, even when it's daylight. This design is bad power saving scheme. - The included earbuds are too BIG and are uncomfortable to my ears. The right earbud wire is twice the size of the other wire. To some people this may be annoying but there's a reason behind it. I recommend choosing another pair of earbuds. - Caution: pretty fragile. So don't drop it. It may go crazy. - The advertised battery life doesn't seem to work out for me. I have to either constantly replace batteries or buy rechargeable ones. Bottom line: if you want to enjoy music with great quality but want to spend less, then go for it.

5 of 5 Not at all bad for the price - Great iPod alt. Monday, June 27, 2005
BT from 'Burbs of Chicago
I was not about to drop too much $$ on my first purchase, and although smaller mem than the iPod mini, you can't beat the price, the fact that this also recvs FM stereo, and EASILY pop in a new, CHEAP AAA batt and you're ready to go! So far, so good... mine totaled just under $60, so I don't expect a Cadilliac, but this ain't none too bad!

5 of 5 Bang for the 66 bucks Wednesday, June 08, 2005
Sinner from Los Angeles, CA
This is good value for the money (at the Buy.com price of $66 incl. taxes and free shipping). Things I like about it: 1. Very small size. Comes with armband and belt clip, perfect for workouts. 2. No need to install any software on computer; this is a USB storage device, so just copy your mp3 and wma files onto it and you're done. I'm using it on Windows XP, Mac OS X 10.4 and Linux FC3 with no problems. I haven't even unpacked the accompanying CD yet. iTunes on Mac even recognized it as a portable music device, but I haven't used that fact yet. The device can also be used for storage of any file type, just like any other USB drive. 3. FM tuner with autoscan. 4. FM recording. With the supplied headphones, I couldn't really distinguish between live radio music and the recording, except for the difference in volume. 5. They haven't skimped on features - nice interface, decent icons, more customizations than I expected from something this size. 6. One level of folders possible. In other words, it has (simple) playlists. What I don't like: 1. No track number on display. 2. The cheap plastic construction does not inspire confidence. I nearly yanked the "pod" sideways out of the "mothership" trying to get them out of the belt clip. That's it.

4 of 5 Nice player, no skipping Thursday, April 07, 2005
MJ from Washington, DC
I've had this player for about 5 months now and am extremely happy. The included software is easy to use and for those who already have mp3 files on their computer it's easy to just drag and drop the files into the player. The USB connection is the best option because you don’t have to mess with any cords (or worry about losing them). I love being able to sort the music in different folders on the player and all the various play features (i.e. repeat folder, shuffle all, etc.) are a nice bonus. The LCD screen and buttons are clear and intuitive. This player is so small; I clip it to my shorts when running and hardly notice the weight. The only draw back is the battery life doesn't seem to last quite as long as I thought but I still get a good amount of time before it dies. I like the preset radio features for when I get tired of my songs on a run. The included ear buds are not my style but the jack accepts most other types of headphones so that is not a problem. Overall, very happy and have bought this player for friends and family.

4 of 5 Perfect for the Gym Tuesday, March 22, 2005
K. Castro from Garden Grove, Ca
I just purchased this a few days ago to help with my adult ADD while on the elliptical machine, and I must say that I'm sorry I waited so long to do so. This MP3 player is light, extremely easy to use and sounds better than any other walkman I've ever owned. The one feature that sets this player above the rest, is the USB connection used to manage your files. For most OS's, it's a simple plug and play storage device that allows you to store any type of file that will fit. The menu is simple and just takes a little time to get used to. Once you do, you'll see that there are many features built into this little guy. So in summary, I'm very happy with my purchase and look forward to using it every chance I get.

4 of 5 Good product and value but painful headphones Sunday, December 12, 2004
Jim from Florida
I was impressed with the amount of songs I could get on this thing in the WMA format. It has lots of functions and is fairly easy to work with without having to read directions. The software that comes with it is pretty simple and works well. The only complaint is the earbuds are too large and as a result painful after a short time. They also don't sound as good as the in the ear Sony earbuds. I would have been willing to pay more to get a better fitting headphone. With the right headphones this sounds very good and I consider it well worth the money. If you do have a question for customer service at Creative don't expect much but that seems typical for this kind of stuff.

5 of 5 Great MP3 Player Thursday, December 02, 2004
John from Charlotte, NC
Hey, I've had this for about 2 weeks now. I'm one of those types who don't read the directions, but just start playing with it to figure it out. Besides, there wasn't much to the directions anyways. I basically got it to use while working out as I was using a walkman with radio before, and it was bulky and I was tired of the same tapes. This thing is so easy to use. Load the software, plug it into your USB, and rip tracks from your CD's or from MP3s on your hardrive. I couldn't beleive that it took less than 15 secs to rip a track from the CD, and 5 secs maybe from MP3's on my computer. I estimated I can put roughly 55-60 songs on it. It sounds great, and the armband is a nice feature. Very easy to use. So far I've had no problems. The only thing I don't like is the headphones it comes with. Its the earbuds, and they are kind of big. I think I will buy a new kind soon anyways. Other than that, I would recommend it to friends and family. I thought about the iPod, but this is all I really need. You can make your own playlists with the software, so if you get tired of something, just change it, and its quick to change. Good luck!

5 of 5 Best bang for the buck! Sunday, November 21, 2004
E from Pearland, TX
This MP3/FM/USB stick was priced well and performed well. Downloaded MP3s @ 128 and music quality was good. FM stereo reception is excellent. Packaged well with arm-band, holster/clip and headset. Headset was better than I expected but will be using my own noise-cancelling headphones while on-flight. Stick Controls and Creative S/W are very intuitive. I highly recommend this buy. Order arrived quickly (2-days).

3 of 5 Sound, Size, Function all Great--But... Tuesday, October 19, 2004
Jesse from Hawaii
I recently received my Muvo TX FM by Creative Labs. It's an awesome device. Small as a bic lighter, holds 256 MB of songs, it sounds great (even with the included earphones), and all you need to do is plug it into a USB port to get it to work. This is perfect for working out at the gym or for the active person. The only draw back is that it's made of cheap plastic. The battery door is holding on by a prayer. I dont think this thing can handle much of a beating, therefore, it's perfect for the active person who treats her electronics like an egg.

4 of 5 Second Day - (I rarely give tops scores to anythin Friday, September 03, 2004
Kevin from Spokane
Ok, I've had this thing for 2 days now and I've had a chance to work with the software a bit and ripping a CD to a playlist is pretty easy once you find out how. The help menu is relatively easy to understand and is a great help. It's nice to be able to record my favorite radio broadcasts and listen to them later, that's a big plus. Moving the files to the player is just as easy and I've found that you can get replacement/additional battery modules, and I got a discount for registering the device and software. One glitch on their website however, it tried to charge me more than they said they would and it took a phone call to get it ordered at the right price, but they answered quickly and were freindly and helpful and completed my order for me in just moments. So far so good... stay tuned.

4 of 5 Nice so far Thursday, September 02, 2004
A Customer from Spokane, WA
Granted, I've only had it a day... but so far it seems easy to work with, records my school classes nicely (the main reason I bought it), the audio quality fully meets or exceeds my personal standards and even the supplied earbuds are adequate for my needs. The proprietary software is easy to use, tho I haven't taken time to figure out how to set up playlists, so all my music ends up in alphabetical order, which is less than desirable for my Pink Floyd collection, but I'm sure given some time I'll work that out. Only one real issue already tho, the battery access door has a small catch to keep it closed, I've succeeded in breaking that already, so some parts are not as sturdy as I would expect them to be, but overall seems a good product. I'll write more as I use it more. I've heard other Muvo models tend to 'die' after about a month, and the only fix is to format the thing, which shouldn't be a big deal if everything on it is kept backed up, but I'll let you know.
