Creative ZEN Stone Plus 2GB with Built-in Speaker (Black)

I was originally going to buy the Creative Zen Stone Plus MP3 player from buy.com on ebay but since I did'nt have a paypal account I could'nt do it. Without any hassle, they canceled my order on ebay so I was'nt obligated to buy it and I bought it from their online store instead. I got the product fast and I love it. The built in speaker is great and has clear quality. I got the 2 GB MP3 player, I put all my favorite music on it and still have a full gigabyte left. Thank you guys so much!

I'm an Audio Engineer, and have tested most units out there on a scope as well as with my ears and this unit has absolutely, hands-down, the best sound quality of anything else out there. The iPod, was quite low on the list in comparison. Sound quality was my main concern, which is why I recommend this unit, but it is also loaded with more features and the best menu system. For example, when you turn the unit off and then on again later, it remembers where you were and starts automatically at that point. Also, there is a feature for fast-forward with sound that I have not seen anywhere else on any other unit, this is handy for skipping parts of a recording or scanning to see what's on the unit. All mp3 players should be this good. One more thing, not only did it have the highest sound quality and the most features, it was also the lightest unit! I've purchased 8 of these over the last year as gifts. P.S.the ad copy says there's a speaker built in, there is not, this is a typeo. There is a mic for recording voice, a stopwatch, a calendar, bass boost button, 5 band EQ, and much more, but no speaker. You'll use headphones.

This little Creative Zen Stone Plus w/Built-In Speaker kicks butt for its size! Although the screen is tiny for viewing, it suffices if you're all about music & less on the viewing pleasure that some mp3 players have like the newer iPods, Zunes, & Sandisks. The bright blue LCD with the black background is great, & I even got compliments from this tiny screen. Music is easily dragged & dropped from you computer. You can organize the songs into folders/albums, so that you can surf for which album you want to play. This mp3 player also has a stopwatch, clock, & voice recorder - which I haven't used yet. The clock is helpful when you're in the gym working out & wondering about the time. It also comes with a semi-clear silicon case with a clip but doesn't come with an armband. The newer casing is matte finish (I own a black one of these), which beats the earlier Creative styles with glossy plastic finishes which scuff/scratch easily. Not sure how long the 3-hour charge lasts in reality vs. the product description's "up to 20 hour playback". Overall, this Creative Zen Stone Plus w/Speakers packs a punch for its size.

Great idea, good price, but flaky performance. Too frequently the "On" button doesn't seem to work, and the other controls are too sensitive. The slightest touch skips to the next selection. The clip-on is a good idea, but it's position so close to the controls makes it almost inevitable that you'll hit one of them in error. Very frustrating! I do like the protective sleeve that comes with the unit. In fairness, I haven't found a player yet that has worked with any satisfaction. At least in my case, they all seem to be junk!
