Everything about this device works like a dream.(At least for this price) The videos are crisp but you need to convert them into the ZEN's format which takes 2X longer than the movie itself to do so.(If you have a super computer, disregard that statement, it's not for you) The sound is great. The interface is great too, you can search by artist, songs, albums, or playlists and within those, you can further search by letter.(The playlists have to be made with your computer, not the ZEN) But, I got the 2GB because I also got a 16GB SD card and thought it was used like an expansion library. The SD card cannot use the ZEN's interface. When you enter the SD from your ZEN you're sent to a giant list of files and you have to scroll down all of them the way you have arranged them. You can't search by artist, album or anything not even by letter! But if you don't mind that, this will be a great product for you.

I don't have much experience with other multimedia players, but just by comparing prices and features online, I chose the Zen. I really like this player. I bought the 2 gb and it will probably hold all the media I need, but in case it doesn't I can pop in an SD card and add more. I was so pleased I bought my wife one for Christmas. A great product without spending a lot of money.

My Zen died after about one hour of use. Locked up while downloading and then wouldn't even boot up after that. Totally dead. I hope this is an isolated incident I really like the unit.

I bought this mainly because of the recording feature, which works well enough for my use (recording lectures). It sounds great and the display is the BEST of any MP3 player on the market! The ability to add memory via SD cards is awesome, though the implementation of this feature needs improvement. It is well-constructed, but I suggest getting some sort of protection.

I purchased a Creative product in December of 2007, very, very happy with the product. It crapped out in June of 2008. The problem that I had with this product was documented on their website as happening often. (freezing on their logo screen). The product is now out of their warranty, and I was told we had to replace it a a cost twice what we originally paid. Beware!!!

For the money this is the best mp3 player I have ever had. Very easy to use. Plays very smooth video. The software that comes with it makes it easy to convert video to the format that the player uses. Really can't say anything but AWESOME.

I bought this to replace a 2gb Sandisk MP3 player that I bought from Buy.com that crapped out (it was refurbished) recently. This Zen is new and is pretty nice, but difficult to navigate at first. However, once you learn how to use the buttons, it's easy to get around. Pros - Decent price - Nice color screen; looks great - Compact size - Good sound from the headphones - SD Card expandability - Cons - Smudges easy and the rubber case attracts lint - 2gb is just too small for my MP3 collection; I had to go buy a 16gb card for almost the same price as the unit itself - Not compatible with slower Pentium systems -

I like it very much. This ZEN MP3 player is a great alternative to overpriced iPOD. It does everything iPod does and even more. The only problem I found was that it looses power very fast if you're watching video. I would recomend it to anyone who is looking to buy a MP3 Player.

I bought for the sole purpose of listening to audiobooks. It took a couple of times to learn how to use the bookmarks but that's because I didn't read the manual. It locks so you don't accidentally hit other buttons and lose your place. It is easy to load books from Windows Media Player to the Zen. I download the books and the licensing software requires the use of Media Player so I don't know how well it interacts with other software. I really like it.

I did a lot of research on mp3 players, mostly because I was looking for a player to listen to audiobooks. I wanted the bookmark feature. I like the fact I can expand the memory with the addition of an SD card. I put my music on the SD card and put my books on the player. It's very easy to navigate. The screen is bright and very clear. About the only thing I wish the player had were backlit buttons. It took me awhile to remember which button does what. I also recommend a skin or the screensavers. The screen is very shiny and scratches easily. I already have a few.
