Creative Webcam Instant Bonus Pack w/Free Headphone & 10 Games

It is a decent webcam, but not the quality you would typically expect from a Creative product. You can increase the resolution in the webcam, but the picture gets a little grainy. It is not bad for chatting. The headphone makes up a little for the otherwise high price for a camera of this grade.

Vista didn't find the drivers automatically, but I was able to install with the CD that came with it. Resolution is very good for a webcam. I had this for 6months I am satisfied.

Be careful ordering - if you have Vista, it is not compatible. I feel this should have been in BIG letters at the top of the ad. Now I am stuck with a camera I can't use. Who knows what the east of use and performance are... I'll never know.

The purpose that I bought this camera is to stay in touch with my parents and my friends so in my hand, it has been used mostly as a webcam. I havent tried the game that come in the package. <p> (+) The delivery was as expected, it was relatively fast <p> (+) The prize of the camera is cheap (after rebate), I am still waiting for the rebate though. <p> (-) The set up was a little bit complicate becasue I have other webcam driver installed. According to many website, its setting might also conflict with other media player software as well. But after installation, It works great as a webcam. <p> (-) The lighting adjustment doesnt work well in outdoor situation but it is acceptable. <p> (+) With low light condition, it perform quite well, which I really like it. <p> (-) the three-way base does not attach to my notebook display very well so it is a little bit painful to have to slightly push my screen forward a little bit to make sure that half my face is not cut off in the webcam view. The base works ok on the flat table yet it is still not very stable. It is easy to fall on the side. <p> (-) the software provided with the camera is quite good per se but it is not compatible with msn messenger. So if you are using webcam in msn messenger, you cannot capture a snapshot. <p> (-) For some reasons, my camera doesnt work with skype. <p> Over all, I like it and I think it works nicely as a webcam despite some difficulty in installing and some incompatibility of the software and the base is lousy. I think it worths the price (of course if I get rebate back).

Camera is not compatible with Vista and Creative does not have plans (from my research) to provide drivers updates. Check your system before you buy. Cannot coment on quality.

I own this webcam for more than 2 weeks now... The video quality is very good in decent light (the image sharpness can be manually adjusted). To use with Windows Vista just plug the camera in any available USB port and , when prompted, just insert the Creative Installation CD into your CD-ROM drive. I didn't tried the Bundled Games yet and I am NOT sure that will work on Vista... Overall I'm very happy with this little gadget!

Hi, I love the result of this webcam. But the only disaponted thing for this webcam is, it is not having Vista drivers. And Creative people are not going to write his drivers for Visa. Thats stuck. Now this cam is not useful for me as I have Vista installed on my laptop.

Decent basic camera. No built-in microphone, but it comes with a headset (earbud with mic on the cord). Works fine. Resolution is not native 640x480--that is, it will do 640x480 only "interpolated" from the sensor, which is 320x240. I didn't pay any attention to the "game pack."

Paid $5 after rebate, but the image quality is so poor, it's not worth paying one cent for it. Very easy to install, though, and easy to mount on LCD screen.

Picture quality worse (grainy) than previous webcam. No Vista driver available or planned according to Creative, but base function will work anyhow. Low price a plus

For Windows XP, this was a simple install and I was up & running and using it in about 30 minutes. It comes with 10 games for kids that I have not checked out yet. It also comes with Orb that will let me "check in" on the house while away. It will let me take pictures and video; but I have not tried that yet.

Installation and set up was easy. I did find that I needed to download SKYPE to communicate to other SKYPE users. Product is worth the price.

The good: Cheap, comes with headphone and games. Eary to adjust camera angle. The Bad: Very blurring web cam performance. Does not work in lower lighting conditions at all. I would not recommend this web cam.

The camer a easy fit into the pockets...easy to spot and click...fun to use...but at night not great the colour isnt good for night.....but a value for money

Very nice webcam for cheap! Got it for $5 after mail in rebate. Works well, but do not like that power light is constantly on. Previous webcam only showed power light when camera was active.

I bought two cameras because of the cheap price after rebate. One I will be giving to the parents to use so they can "see" their grandkids often. The other I'll keep for when I'm traveling to stay in touch with the family. The set up was easy and I'm surprised by the image quality. I have a built in webcam in my laptop and I would have to argue that the Creative cam performed just as well, if not better than my built in one when used in the same room. The webcam performed well when adjusting to the light. I haven't used the software yet so I'm not sure how well it works. Only complaint is that the focus is manual.

I have no trouble at all to install it on my Dell Vistro desktop. I have used it on Windows Messenger and the new Windows Live Messenger, and both works just fine. Picture quality is acceptable, but for the price of five bucks after rebate, I have no complain. The value is all there.

I haven't set up the camera yet but it came as expected and don't imagine any problems. The review is to comment on the exceptionally fast shipping and great price (after rebate). I've always had good experiences with buy.com and the free shipping arrived in less than 24 hours from the time I clicked "purchase"! Definitely won't expect this everytime but it was pretty amazing.

For $5 dollars it works extremely well. I haven't installed the games that comes with camera, so can't comment on that. Installation was easy. It has a little trouble with low light, other than that it works good.

This one works about as you would expect for a value priced camera, good performance under ideal lighting, not so good with anything less. Great if you are not worried about full 640x480 picture size or perfect clearity.

It should be noted that their are NO drivers for Windows Vista 32 or 64 bit and according to Creative's web site, there are no plans to ever do so. I was able to get the camera to work with XP drivers but none of the software that came with the camera works.

if you can get this for $5 using the rebate, & if you don't have a webcam already, it's well worth getting two so you can have video conversation over msn live plus or skype or something with a friend or family member... even if the resolution isn't as good as the newest best cameras out there.

I bought two of these cameras when a $25 MIB was offered, so I bought each camera for $5 plus shipping - way cool. I took one with me on a recent 2-week-long business trip and used it on my laptop so I could do video chats (free video & audio.. no cell minutes, no long distance fees) from my hotel room with my wife and 11-month-old back home 1500 miles away. My only complaint is that, after several years of traveling for work, I didn't think to do this before now. This is a great little camera and setup is way, WAY easy. Creative offers other web cams with better quality lenses but, for the price, you can't beat this one. One sits on my flat panel desktop monitor at home, and the other lives in my laptop bag. Web cams are especially great for business travelers and college kids way from home, and I think this is the best one for the price.

Very good image. Handels motion very well. Included games and activities are usefull. A built in microphone could have been a better option. Also it does not hold laptop screen that well. But for this price, it was just a steal.

I purchased creative web cam from buy.com at price $9.99 after rebate.I like this web cam and performance is good and if you compare price wise it is ok.And it comes with 10 games cd that is good for children.My son love this 10 games.

This is very usefule within that cost. Clarity is good and for me it works fine on Vista with the driver came along with webcam.

I wanted a webcam not too costly and for occasional use only - found this one. The image quality is not too good but its acceptable when you compare that with the money you spend. Software quite easy to install..the bonus games are a plus :)

I was a little skeptical after realizing that this was not USB 2.0 but only 1.1. However, any and all deficiencies are settled by the cool movement detection technology built into the games bundled with it. I mean, it is so much more fun to be able play basketball with hands (moved in front of the camera) instead of using the mouse or keyboard. I hope it also has face detection - haven't tried the actual video related features yet, but have never been disappointed with a Creative product before. And it is a fantastic value at five bucks...

I don't know why everyone is complaining about this camera. You set it, focus it, and smile! Plus the free headset and games. I didn't play the games, but the headset has a very clear signal. With the rebate it's a deal you shouldn't pass up!

As always, Buy.com ships their products at an amazingly fast rate. I got the cameras (I bought two) within two days of purchase. For the price I paid, the camera works great. Yes, there are webcams that have way better resolutions, but this model works fine for those who cannot afford to fork out $60 or more per webcam. Most of the software that came with it is bloatware, so beware when you are installing it. Basically, the only essential thing is the driver; everything else is optional (or, personally I believe, just a bunch of junk). Use it with Yahoo! Messenger if you want to talk with more than 2 cameras at a time. Windows Live Messenger does not allow video calls with more than 2 cameras. Enjoy the bargain~!
