5 of 5 Low S/N ratio, great recording software Tuesday, May 27, 2008

Had been recording from external devices (line-in) and was disturbed by the noise on my motherboard's built-in audio chips. Even with external device unplugged, was still getting noise. Checked around and this product was one of the few that listed its S/N spec...and the ratio is very good. And the price too.<p>
Now that I've used it for a while the only discernible noise comes from the external device. Am very, very pleased and the installation was flawless, including necessary instructions how to disable the built-in audio device. (I knew I needed to do it; was pleased the instructions were correct.) <p>
A very important and unexpected surprise was the software that came with the device, particularly the recording software. Am a long-time Nero user but there are features with the OEM software that exceed Nero's features, particularly with respect to timed recordings. Now I don't need to spend as much time tending to my external recordings---a very nice bonus! Was this review helpful?
