2 of 5 No so good for $30 Saturday, March 07, 2009 PJG from New York, NY
Bad: I have a 3 speaker computer system without dolby (Left, Right and Subwoofer). Listening to music in stereo, there is an echo when I pause or stop the music. I have a Soundblaster Live 16 bit that I bought 8 years ago that is better than this Audigy that cost $30. Even for $30 it should be better than my old Soundblaster Live 16. But it is not the case. I wanted to return it, but I had already disposed of the original box, so I could not return it. The Audigy echo was bothering me so much that I decided to put back my old Soundblaster Live 16 in my computer.
Good: easy to install on XP. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Problem Free Monday, May 26, 2008 Jason Stringer from Old Hickory, TN
After trying other "Vista Compatible or Vista Capable" sound cards, I got tired of throwing money away and went back to Creative. They know what they are doing and just cannot be beat when it comes to trouble free sound cards for Vista. They also have extensive software for complete control over the card without depending on hardware translation when using the driver only. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 missing software for Windows 2k Sunday, May 25, 2008 dito8164 from Vernon, CT
Great sound. Great Soundfont support.
CD that comes with the sound card has drivers for XP and Vista only. Creative website has drivers for WIN 2K, but not full software package.
I bought it because I needed a card that would work with WIN 2K. I never thought I would have to work around the lack of a soundfont manager (and the inability to download one). Creative customer support was less than helpful.
BUT THE BOTTOM LINE IS CARD MAKES GREAT SOUNDS (and I can work around the lack of Win 2K software.) Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Decent Friday, December 21, 2007 A Customer from Dunedin, FL
I havent really noticed much difference between this and the onboard sound I had before. However, I dont listen to music on my computer and I have a cheap set of 2.1 logitch speakers and they dont sound very good to begin with. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Value........and performance. Wednesday, November 28, 2007 Michael Kelting from Enfield, CT
I was looking for an upgrade from the standard onboard sound that came with my Dell computer. I purchased a Soundblaster Audigy SE. I've used Soundblaster for years and they are compatible with all the programs and games I've used, so this was my educated choice. The Audigy was a great upgrade for me despite the low price. The sound is no longer muddy but clear with excellent separation. I also have a subwoffer and it really kicks out some low bass. I would suggest Soundblaster to anybody in the market for a good sound card. Was this review helpful?
