Playing CDs through the 0202 is like having a new music collection. You hear the music with astounding clarity, and nothing else. Even if you don't record much, get it for playback. It also allows truly portable recording, as it is powered from the USB port (only). Not sure how much this impacts notebook battery life. Now any computer (Windows or Mac) can be a digital stereo recorder of highest quality. Limited to two track stereo analog in/out, no SPDIF. Great headphone amp. High-powered software bundle. Buy.com had the best price and shipped right away. If you love music, what are you waiting for?
