I bought this camera for my skype account.
It Installed without a glitch using WinXP, Lots of good features, good image, microphone works good, Frame rate at full resolution is a little jerky but has a clean sharp picture. Wide angle lens allows two people in field of view, however I had trouble with the auto focus with more than one subject. I had to turn this feature off. The camera mount was easy to use and worked well on my notebook and desktop. I liked the rotating camera body.

This thing is nice, but it doesn't quite do the full resolution at the full frame rate. To get 30fps you have to go down to 640x480 or it might do it on 800x600. Nice focus, good software (although a little bloated).
Had a slight problem and had to send mine in for repair - got a replacement real fast. They even extend the warranty by the number of days that it was in the mail.. Was this review helpful?

this cam works as advertised....sharp and clear....software setup went as expected....nice extra's....video fx...etc.....first of a new generation of webcams....a higher frame rate would be nice, to support smoother motion, but it's great picture, and inovative design put it ahead of the competition Was this review helpful?

I have used the Creative Optia web-cam for about 5 weeks now. I find it easy to use and very intuitive. The web-cam itself is rather small and sexy. There and numerous features that sets this web-cam in a class by itself.
The photo capture allows you to capture snapshots using the live cam. Video recording allows you to record video clips using live cam. I found pictures and video both to be extremely clear and the smooth.
The motion diction feature was a nice ideal, but I couldn’t get to work properly (at least to my satisfaction).
The remote monitoring feature allows you to monitor your home of office using the Live cam over your internet browser. As of this writing I have not used it. However it sounds great.
There are a couple other features that enhance this Web-cam all in all I thing it was worth the investment.
This web-cam and the software suite is rather pricey. There and hundreds of web-cams that are much less painful on the pocket.
