my friend recommend this one for me and this is my first time to use a webcame. I'm surprised by the good pic quality. I also like the appearance of the cam. I just got bought 2 of these and began using them with Skype. They work great; excellent autobrightness, sound clarity, software...

Set-up was fast and easy. Experimented with streaming over Stickam and got it working. The only problem is the frame rate. With auto exposure on, the image it produces is amazingly good! But the bad frame rate (and audio out of sync) makes it unusable for me with that setting. With auto turned off and the exposure down, the image quality is pretty bad but then the frame rate is just fine. On a more powerful computer it might work better, I don't know, but on my computer it is a choice of either a good picture or a good frame rate, but not both.

The quality of the product appears very high when reviewing the picture and sounds when testing. Unfortunately, a much less costly unit is out performing it. I really think the problem is likely to be found in the driver as the issues I am experiencing have to do with the audio. When I use Yahoo IM I have the exact opposite problem when I use the sightspeed application that comes with the webcam. The webcam audio (mic and speaker) test fine. Works just as advertised. Easy to install and works great with Skype. Picture resolution is excellent. Not sure if the mic is the best as I am still working with the audio settings. Good value for money. If Buy.Com sells it....I will probably buy it. Was this review helpful?

I had bought this thinking that I was going to get a 'top of the line' type webcam. Looked good on the outside, but the major problem was that it NEVER worked!. I spent about 2.5 hrs trying to get it to work. Software has lots of bugs in it while it installed. Afterwards, I even updated the driver with their update tool (they said it was 'critical' ). After all this... I plugged in the webcam, opened up the the software, and guess what? it STILL couldn't detect it. Tried this process twice. Even the 'plug and play' didn't work. I'm going to return this product and buy a logitech one instead. No wonder no one reviewed this product at the time of purchase. Was this review helpful?
