1 of 5 Do not buy this creative speaker Monday, July 27, 2009 A Customer from Houston TX
I bought this speaker system ~ 9 months ago.
3 months later one of the speakers didn't work at all.
I barely replaced it from the retailer but 6 months later
the woofer was broken. When I contacted CREATIVE several times
they didn't even answer. Their speakers are so bad and worse than
PC speakers. I cannot trust the entire CREATIVE products now.

5 of 5 Great value Saturday, July 25, 2009 A Customer from Tucson, AZ
I'm totally shocked at how good the sound is for how inexpensive these speakers are. I wavered between these and the Altec-Lansing 4421's, which have a bit more power, but one advantage for these is that the satellite speakers can be wall-mounted. Are these for audiophiles? Obviously, no. Do they work for an office? Mos def. Was this review helpful?

The speakers sound whiny. High pitched tone sounding with no mid's at all. The bass is relatively weaker and more boom and not clear than my Altec Lansing ACS33BW I bought for $30 3 years ago even though it has 2 more wattage in the box. When I picked up the box it felt very lighter compared to my Altec Lansing which suggest Creative is cutting corners for aesthetics.
I suggest you stay away from these. The satellite speakers are the main problem. Way too high pitched. Feels like I'm in a tin can listening to sound coming out of it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Best speakers under 50 bucks! Friday, May 15, 2009 kriss from Raleigh, NC
these speakers are amazing, great sound and design, volume control and headphone jack built into them. The sub is small and it kicks, and you can control the volume on the sub too!
had no problems hooking them up to my computer, they come very well packaged, they are definitely worth the money :D Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 work well for my use Sunday, May 03, 2009 mike from sterling heights, MI
I was looking for a fairly inexpensive 2.1 speaker system for my iPod to use at work. I had a small 2.0 system but I was sorely missing the bass. I bought this system and even at low levels (which I must keep at the office) I can hear and feel the bass. I have never cranked them high but I have a feeling they would work fairly well even then. I never would have thought what these little speakers could do for my PC. I was just about to buy a stereo/cd player for $350 - 400, I decided to try the T3100's. They're amazing, I've loaded all my favorite songs into my PC. Now I'm enjoying sounds that I did'nt think where possible!! Thank You Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Adequate Saturday, January 24, 2009 A Customer from Gaithersburg, MD
I bought these speakers to use with my mp3 player in my bedroom. I'm not an audiophile anymore and just use them for background music for which they are fine. An audiophile should spend more money and look elsewhere. Someone suggested taping over the silver cones with black electrical tape and the difference is appreciable. The midtones come through much better now. For background music the speakers are just fine but would not recommend them for someone with higher expectations. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Inspire 3100s solved my problem Saturday, March 15, 2008 Senior Citizen from Renton, WA
I bought the Inspire 3100 Speaker Set to use as auxillary speakers for my 42 inch flat panel plasma TV. I did so because my TV's audio was poor (seemed muffled...not clear). The Inspire 3100s solved that problem. I've found that I get the most pleasing audio with the TV's speakers switched off and the Inspire 3100's sub woofer adjusted to its lowest volume setting so that the bass didn't overwhelm the spoken voice. I am an older person (early 80s) and don't hear well but I can crank up the 3100's volume well above my needs. I am pleased.
I should add that before I ordered the 3100s, I tried another maker's similar speaker set (x-230). I found in that case that I was not able adjust the sub whoofer bass volume down to the point where it did not over whelm the spoken voice. The x-230s do, however, work nicely with my PC to listen to musical videos. So, I guess each has its own niche.

I bought these speakers to replace the original harmon kardon (2.1) speakers I bought years ago. The sound quality just isn't the same. The HK speakers had a multi plug connector to the sound card; these Creative speakers have just one plug. The HK speakers also had separate controls for treble and bass; the Creative speakers have only a volume control on the desktop speaker and a separate subwoofer volume on the floor unit. I plugged the speakers in and they sound decent at low volumes, but at levels above this they start to distort.
These speakers may be adequate for listening to music at low levels, but likely not good with loud games. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Value for the Price! Tuesday, June 26, 2007 Micki from Missouri
I purchased this speaker system for use with my Mp3 player and I couldn't be happier. Set up was so simple, I didn't need any instructions, even though they were provided. The overall sound is great with crisp highs, clear mid-tones and plenty of base to keep me moving on my treadmill. There is ample volume with no distortion. I'm a satisfied customer.
