    5 of 5 Great Router Friday, January 18, 2008
Taylor from Salt Lake City, UT

Make sure you power cycle the router and modem when installing so that the router takes the modem's IP address. Also if you still cannot connect make sure to turn off your windows firewall during installation. It may block the router from communicating with your compute, and since the router comes with a firewall that is better than windows it isn't a problem. Other than the difficulty I had installing the router it works great. Very good spead and decent range. Antenna is detachable if you want to increase the range and get a different one, but for me it has worked fine in our apartment

    1 of 5 bad product, don't buy Wednesday, January 02, 2008
    Jimmy from Columbus, OH
did somebody erase the review that I wrote before? this is an outdated product, and the product out of the box only supports up to 11Mbps, lol... also, it is very hard to setup... it even doesn't function as a wired router!!! but, I got my rebate out of it... however, that's still $15 buying a piece of junk... so, next time when you wanna buy something without a review from buy.com, better go to amazon to check it out first! but this one is the only junk I bought from buy.com so far... other numerous stuff from buy.com are perfect...

5 of 5 Wonderful tech support Thursday, December 13, 2007
    A Customer from E.C. Maryland
The WBR-3406TX arrived quickly thanks to Buy.com's efficient delivery system. The setup was very easy in spite of a terrible quick start guide. The router worked flawlessly at first but turned dead after I tried to update the firmware. Unfortunately, Buy.com will not accept my return because the UPC was cut out for rebate. However, the tech support at CP Technologies was willing to go the extra miles to replace the unit with a WBR-3405TX with better performance. The response was very reasonable through e-mail. They paid all the shipping charges. I was very skeptical about this company at first because I have never heard of them before. Yet, their products do present a very good value and have been working so far. The support I get does show they are serious in earning my business. I will buy their products again.

1 of 5 Don't waste your money on this product Tuesday, December 11, 2007
    Sara from winston salem,NC
I purchased this router from Buy.com. There is NO PROPER configuration instructions and NO customer service number provided in the instruction manual or in the company website. It is just sitting there in my home with NO use. I think the cost of sending it back to the manufacturer will be more than the router price. I am very dissatisfied with this product.

3 of 5 hard to setup Saturday, December 08, 2007
    A Customer from Lafayette, LA
No plug and play. you have to have an internet connection to set the wireless up, but you can't get an internet connection trough it to do this. Very tough.

3 of 5 Seems to work OK Monday, December 03, 2007
    A Customer from Jacksonville, FL
I wanted to set this item up with WPA and shared key, but have not been successful yet. Looks like a capable little device - especially for the low price. However, I will be happier with it when I can figure out (if) how to use it with WPA. I wish it can be updated to WPA2, but haven't seen that yet. It runs pretty hot, but seems to be working. 5 of 5 Good for the price Friday, November 30, 2007
    A Customer from Evanston, IL
I got this unit when it was on sale, and for how inexpensive it was, it was definitely worth it. Though it doesn't have the range and performance that some of the more top of the line products do, the WBR-3406TX works and isn't very difficult to setup. If you're just doing some simple home wireless networking, it should work fine.

    5 of 5 Nice Friday, November 30, 2007
    J from Reno, NV
This thing is great. I got it free (well not yet) and it works like I paid good money for it. My only complaint would be that CP is taking forever to get my rebate to me - I think it's been 3 months already and their submission hotline says it is STILL processing. What the heck? Product wise, this is a quality router. I think it works better than the D-link one I paid $50 for about 3 years back.

4 of 5 Good product, simple set up Friday, November 30, 2007
    rrach2007 from Randolph, NJ
I was able to easily install the router and certainly see an improvement in performance of the download speeds on wirelessly connected devices. I went from 802.11 a/b to this one (with cable internet access) and do like the performance. I am using basic functionalities since I am not a networking expert. It seems to work fine.

    4 of 5 Be prepared Friday, November 30, 2007
    Andrew McClurg from Louisville, KY
The router works well for wireless connections. It is with the seemingly more simple job of being a simple intermediate cut-through for a wired connection between the DSL modem to a computer where problems routinely arise. The router (and less often the DSL modem) has to be rebooted frequently, sometimes multiple times a day, to maintain the connection, which seems to disappear regularly for no apparent reason. Using the DSL modem without the router, I never encounter these problems. Perhaps some parameters need to be set differently, but products such as these, using standardized interfaces, should be able to operate without sophisticated user interaction and detailed knowledge of network protocols.

5 of 5 Wireless Router Rocks Friday, November 30, 2007
    A Customer from Excelsior, MN
I don't know anything about wireless routers and this was my first purchase on buy.com. It took some time to set up but after it was installed, it worked great. I hooked it up downstairs and I am able to use my laptop anywhere in the house. I love it.

5 of 5 good obscure brand wireless router Friday, November 30, 2007
    A Customer from Farmington,CT
Set up an operated with minimal difficulty only to test function. Had to change default dhcp addresss range to something more recognizable to what I am used to. Satisfied considering price after rebate. ? how easy it will be to actually get rebate but at least notified of receipt and can track status easily enough.

This unit was easy to set up with its web interface and I have had no issues at all with its range or connectivity. For the price and functionality, this router represents a great value.

5 of 5 Works well, exceeds expectations Wednesday, November 28, 2007
Ed Hendrickson Jr. from Ames, Iowa
I have had this wireless router about 2 months and it has worked as designed. I bought it for my daughter's apartment while she is in college. She uses it every day to connect her laptop to the internet and she has not called me to fix it yet, so that is a huge plus :-) It was straightforward quick and easy to setup with security. I would recommend you try it, especially if it has a rebate.

1 of 5 How can I prevent other body from using my wireles Tuesday, November 27, 2007
    weichao from new orleans, La
When I bought it two months ago. It has 30 $ Mail in rebate, but I have not receive it until now. The most important thing is that how can I set up a code to prevent others from using my wireless signal. I could not figure out even I readed the manule more than 3 times.

5 of 5 very good product Tuesday, November 27, 2007
    A Customer from Dallas, TX
I replaced my Linksys router with this router. My Linksys router will disconnect and will never reconnect until it was reset. I never lost connection with this router. No issues to report. Really good product for the price. I submitted the MIB two months ago but did not receive the check yet.

5 of 5 Excellent for the Price Tuesday, October 23, 2007
    A Customer from Chicago, IL
Neber heard of this company but could not resist the $9 after rebate. Configuring and securing the router was a breeze via Web Interface. The default IP address of the router is 198.168.123.254 for those of you who do not want to look for this in the manual. To my surpise, the signal on this thing was excellent. I tested it by replacing my Microsoft MN-700 Wireless router(3 years and still ticking). Normally the MN-700 gave me signals from 24Mbps to 48Mbps. But this router gives me a constant 54Mbps for the same computer that is at the same location at the house. If this router is as reliable as the MN-700 that I have owned for the past 3 years, this is an excellent buy even without the rebate.

    5 of 5 Its been a good buy Monday, October 15, 2007
    A Customer from Latrobe, PA
The modem is worth it. The instruction manual in CD is quite elaborate but the small sheet of paper that comes along is very brief (upto the point of not conveying anything) It took me less than an hour to finish setting the whole thing up and making sure that everything works.

1 of 5 Mine was defective Thursday, October 04, 2007
    Gerald from Seattle, WA
I could not get this router to work, and I'm a rather proficient computer user. At one point, after its boot-up status-check, it is supposed to blink once per second. Mine blinked more like 100 times per second. And then it wouldn't work. Even pinging didn't produce a response. So I never got it installed. I emailed the manufacturer, and I never heard back.

4 of 5 Excellent wireless router for the price Tuesday, September 25, 2007
    A Customer from Madison, MS
I have bought several of these wireless routers for customers and have had no issues with them. They are plug and play unless you need to do more than connect your notebook up wirelessly or connect 3 or 4 wired computers up.

5 of 5 Great Free Product Tuesday, September 18, 2007
    Christopher.wihlidal from New Haven, CT
Even if it weren't free (but still very cheap), this is a great router for the money. The configuration interface is no where near the polish of Linksys or D-Link, but all the basic (and even advanced) functions are there. Personally, I love the AirPort Extreme, but this makes a great router when you want to create a mixed network without compromising speeds.
