I installed this on a Windows ME box (remember them?) and it was as smooth as anything. I had to relocate my computer given that the babies room was the old computer room now but I had no issues what so ever. I have decades of experience in hardware and this had to be one of the easiest installations ever. Two weeks later, it's flying along without an issue.
Configuration was easy when I had it up and I was in my home network in the amount of time it takes to enter the secure passkey. Was this review helpful?

I got this product 2 days ago, I just installed it and started navigating with no problem, 100% signal 54 Mbps. I am always satisfied with Buy.com products.
Don't expect it to be like a wired connection, it is a little less in downloading, but the same in uploading.
100% satisfied overall.

I was attracted to this item when I saw it listed as a great deal on Ben's Bargains.<br>
Physical installation was easy. Software installation was alright, though the product was not recognized automatically (on Win XP, sp1). I had to use the included software.<br>
Once up and running, performance was finicky; the signal strength was below average in my experience with wireless adapters, and the connection would drop out frequently. Soon my computer started freezing periodically; eventually it was freezing every time on startup. I tried switching PCI slots, which didn't work. Finally, I removed the adapter, and my computer was back to normal. I later installed a Linksys USB adapter, which worked perfectly right out of the box.<br>
Conclusion: This adapter worked fine for the other reviewer but not for me. This is typical of these bargain purchases; it's a crapshoot. Was this review helpful?

Bought this with the rebate.... the rebate hasn’t come through yet so can’t really say about the bottom line price.... however... the card functions as listed. No issues in installing.... I have Win Server OS and it picked it up automatically so I can’t imagine folks with XP or Vista any issues with it. Overall good buy... Was this review helpful?

Very easy to install.
Compatible with Windows XP and Fedora Linux
Linux - Network Manager detected this card without any setup.
Very stable
Overall its excellent and very cheap in price!
