This arrived DOA two times. On the third arrival, the RAM finally worked. I blame the store's shipping policy of putting RAM, which is basically a very fragile circuit board, inside a flexible bubble envelope and shipping it UPS. I tried contacting the store over and over again to have them ship it in a cardboard box, but they would never reply. At least the store pays for return shipping, but it took over a month to get this after all of the returns.

Popped these babies in to replace a 2gig ddr2 dual channel setup and the performance increase was immediate. In retrospect I can't believe I was running Vista on 2gig when it was such a small price/effort to upgrade to 4gig. I have a monster video card and see now that I was actually bottlenecking at my RAM on some demanding games. These haven't failed on default settings and I din't even bother with the include fan (which is still nice that they include).
My only warning is that you double check your mobo for compatible speeds. My board SUPPORTS PC8500 but doesn't actually take advantage of it. My board can only actually USE up to 6400. In otherwords, this RAM may be overkill if you can't use all of it. Was this review helpful?
