I bought a low-end Samsung, because I didn't want to spend a fortune on a notebook I'll rarely use... I put this Corsair 2GB in it for just $28. I've used Corsair RAM for years in desktop systems I've built, and this stick didn't let me down. The Value Select is a solid little board at a great price - exactly what I was looking for. Corsair gets pretty high compatibility marks, if you don't have a PC from one of those manufacturers that bend the standards to lock you into buying their expensive upgrades. Watch for brand-specific reviews to avoid problems, but it's the PC - not the Corsair RAM. Was this review helpful?

Note to all Lenovo laptop owners: this does NOT work for thinkpads! Mine restarted every 5 minutes when I had this in, so I just ordered a 2GB from the Lenovo web site. XP recognized the RAM addition, but I was wondering why my computer shut off randomly every now and then. Oh well, at least it's cheap! Was this review helpful?

Just bought this at 37 and thats the cheapest i could find for a 2GB stick and if i get the $15 mail in rebate with that, this purchase would be great. I have seen 1 gb sticks for over 22 dollars. It seems to be working well, my computer is a lot faster now that i have upgraded it from 1 to 2.5 GB of ram. I think buy.com is great by the way, tracking it was really easy and the installation took me less than 5 minutes and everything worked. Overall, a great purchase. Was this review helpful?

The 4GB is read and works well with my 15" Macbook Pro. The thing is, I went from 2GB to 4 GB and on a normal basis, I use up to 2GB of RAM daily. Only on some occasions do I use over 3 GB. So you wouldn't notice much if you upgrade from 2 to 4. Also, the rebate is PER household, where I thought it was per stick. So I got jipped. Oh well, stick works though. Buy it if its on sale. This memory is a great deal for 4GB of memory. We did have one problem but it is with Microsoft Vista not the memory. As of 12/25/2007 Vista will only recognize 3GB of RAM not 4GB. We were told Vista updates in the future should fix this issue. Was this review helpful?

Bought two of these 2Gb modules to install in a Dell Vostro 1500 laptop. No problem installing them (though I did have to look in the user guide to find out that one memory slot is under the keyboard). Machine recognized the additional memory on boot up and has been working happily ever since.

If you search for the memory on the Apple.com website, they want $1,000.00 bucks for 4GB, I bought 2 2GB sticks for less than a 100 bucks at Buy.com. Shipping was fast and order was not damaged.
