5 of 5 great power for the price Sunday, May 10, 2009 Diego from FL
cable termination is excellent, a little bulky if you have plenty of unused lines (can't plug them out) pretty silent and works great! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great power supply Thursday, April 23, 2009 MikeD from Portland, OR
Considerably better than the Antec Neo 500 HE power supply that was previously in my gaming rig, which was making a high pitched noise whenever I played LOTRO or ran 3DMark Vantage tests. The fan is so silent you don't even hear it running. I do kind of miss having detachable cables though. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Now This Is Great Equipment !!!! Saturday, April 18, 2009 RagenRat from Aurora ILL
Corsair go's the extra mile making the best PC products on the market. Plenty of connectors for any configuration of components, I love the fact the wires are all covered with black mesh. This is the Third time I've used this brand and size power supply. This always has been a highlight in the case. Made with excellence in mind and will adapt to any change down the road.
WAY TO GO CORSAIR!!! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Above and beyond. Thursday, February 26, 2009 UNI from Philadelphia PA
I have to admit that Corsair makes a great PSU. This should give you plenty of amps to power your video cards. Remove old PSU and insert the new PSU, its that easy. My PSU came wrapped in a felt bag with cable ties, mounting screws, and a case decal. Little extra's like this are an added bonus. Thanks Corsair for going above and beyond.
Con: Some motherboards allow you to control fan speeds for your PSU(via 3-pin molex). Unfortunately this PSU does not have the 3-pin molex connector Fan Speed Monitor. I had to disable fan speed control in my bios. Not really a con since this is a new PSU connecting to an old motherboard.
Another possible con would be that the wires coming out of the PSU need room to bend down into your case. That being said you can add another 1.5 - 2" to the PSU's clearance size.

5 of 5 High Quality PS Saturday, January 10, 2009 Mike from La.
This powersupply is built very well-- solid case-- very high quality connectors-- almost silent. My PC is used as a Music server in a home audio system-- Everything is working great -- two video cards-- internal and external audio devices. The only thing that i didn't like was the VERY Very long cables-- very hard to make a neat job in a small case. 5 of 5 STUD of a Power Supply Tuesday, December 30, 2008 Scott from Atlanta, GA
This is a great power supply with amazing performance. I replaced a new off brand PS with the Corsair and even though the old (new) one had 680 watts it only pushed 20 amps. The Corsair has 650 watts but pushes 52 amps. The weight of the Corsair was twice as much as the other PS so when it comes to quality, go with Corsair! Gamers beware of a PS that doesn't push over 50 amps through a single +12 volt rail! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Awesome Power Supply Saturday, November 01, 2008 A Customer from St. Louis MO.
Awesome power supply for the price paid. Installation was a breeze and had system back up and running within an hour. Power supply is very quiet. Replaced 300 watt OEM pwer supply in my HP.

5 of 5 Power Supply Upgrade Tuesday, October 07, 2008 Asher Mandrake from California
I bought an upgraded graphics card and just before starting installation, I noticed the wattage requirements of the new card. After discovering the OEM power supply was a tad shy of the minimum I dug into the internet looking for recommended power supplies at a reasonable price and found one at Buy.com. It had arrived within a week of ordering and so far works like a champ. The metal 'box' it's in is smaller than the original power supply, so there's a gap in the back. It was a tad confusing at first figuring out which wires went where since there were different connector choices than the original.
This also came with a rebate and as an aside to the vendors and manufacturers, I can't help but think that your plan is to make it difficult to receive the rebates. There is usually a small window of time to claim the rebate (somewhat understandable), but then if you don't do everything precisely as the rebate instructions spell out, you risk losing the rebate. How about take the rebate amount right off the top of the selling price, making it easy, and calling it good? I also have a concern about the UPC bar code going away for the sake of the rebate, in the event of the need to return the product. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Can't Ask for Better Wednesday, October 01, 2008 Christian from Salt Lake City, UT
Extremely easy to install and setup, comes in very nice packaging too! This PSU handles 4GB RAM, Q6600, and 2 HD4850s on my system with ease! It is silent, keeps cool, and handles anything I throw at it. Would buy again, and recommend. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Fabulous PSU - no doubt! Tuesday, September 23, 2008 Mari from Chicago, IL
Bought this PSU after buying the HIS Radeon 4870 graphics card. I was amazed at how quiet this unit was. I had never realized how loud my previous PSU was until I installed this one. I have a mid size tower and all the cables fit after a little manipulation. This PSU runs my PC with no problem. I put a lot of time into researching what the right PSU would be, and I found it in this one. Corsair TX650W has gotten a lot of good tech reviews and rightly so. I am a novice when it comes to computer upgrading but I chose the right PSU. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Mercedes Benz of PSUs Wednesday, September 03, 2008 RR from Phoenix
I can't believe I use to put up with noisy, hot, underpowered power supplies before Corsair. I've now owned five of the HX and TX variety. The fan speed control is perfect; especially for cases where the PSU is on bottom. Sometimes you will get one with a slightly buzzy sounding fan caused by the mfg torquing down the fan screws too tight. It was easy to take one apart and install rubber pins. The six SATA power connectors are overkill. The ability to output 52 amps on a single rail is good for those bad boy video cards. The OCX PSU's are not quite as silent, but maybe a better deal. I've received every rebate from both. Was this review helpful?

Best PSU that I know of in its power range. Corsair makes higher rated PSU's as well if you need more power. Not sure if they make them in the tri-SLI mode range, but I'm sure they will when this becomes more mainstream. They even improved on the good old molex connectors which always irritate my fingers by sticking "handles" on them. Will never buy a psu from another company again. Very adaptable for your various needs(20+4 main power connector, 6+2 graphics connectors). Zero complaints. Was this review helpful?

Over time, I have come to use buy.com more and more for my computer components needs. Their prices are very competitive and in many instances are the lowest of the e-tailers I do business with, particularly with regard to power supplies. I just ordered and received the Corsair TX650. I already have 3 Corsair HX520s which are excellent power supplies in their own right, e.g., cool running, reliable, high efficiencies across the power output band. Well, I must report that the TX650 is every bit the equivalent, less the modular cable arrangement - perhaps even better! Voltage fluctuation is practically nonexistent and actually better than on the 520s (as measured through Intels IDU) and it runs just as cool. Since I received the rebate from a previous buy.com HX520 purchase, I am fairly confident Ill receive the rebate for the TX650. In terms of value, the TX650 is hard to beat! Oh, one more thing. Shipping is free and comes through FedEx what a deal! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Powerful AND quiet! Saturday, July 19, 2008 Ryan from Reseda, CA
This thing is amazing. I can never hear it, and it'll power all of my hardware just fine. This really is one of the best PSU out there at the moment.
Only problem I had was the size of the cables, which were extremely thick. Kind of hard to organize, but they are manageable. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Rock solid and very stable Monday, July 14, 2008 AW++ from Lodi, NJ
This tx650 psu is extremely quiet and stable. I have put this into a rig that's never turned off.
The psu comes enclosed in big foam padding within a big black pouch. If looking into psu's this is a must buy.
Overall great product. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Corsair TX650 PSU is Whisper Quiet Wednesday, June 04, 2008 Sherry from Roxbury, NY
The Corsair tx650 is whisper quiet. I just wish they made two versions of this same model- one with the long cables and one with shorter, more normal cables. I have an unused rom area so was able to push all the extra cables and their lengths into that space. I received this psu 2 days after placing my order with Buy.com. It took less than 5 minutes to install. Corsair tech support is excellent too so this is definitely a best-buy in my opinion, especially with the $30 in rebates I will be getting. 5 of 5 Great product Tuesday, May 27, 2008 JRS from Colorado Springs, Colorado
The tx650 is my 2nd Corsair PSU (first was the 550). Corsair does not take any shortcuts with these PSU's. They are quiet, even under load, great stats. Even the packaging is good - I can't bring myself to throw away the box or the bag. They come with zip ties to help with cable management.
The cables are fairly long, so the leftover cables can make it tight if you are using it in a smaller case with fewer components.
The molex connecters have "hand-holds" which really help in connecting/disconnecting them, maybe the best physical feature of the unit.
I am running my primary development/gaming machine with the 650 (the 550 runs my 24/7 unRaid server). Corsair will be at the top of my list for any future purchases.
I am still waiting for my rebates (3+ months for the 550, 2+ for the 650). The rebate status for the 550 is that is in the mail, so in a week or two we'll see if I purchase any more rebate items from buy-dot-com. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Corsair 650 does the trick Friday, April 04, 2008 bobradarbob from W. Monroe, LA
This pc power supply is an outstanding value. Single Rail, rated at 650w with surges to 670w. Quiet fan since it only spins faster if the temp rises. Buy it if your needs are modest. It might be a little under powered for triple 8800GT cards. For what it costs and the quality power it delivers, you just can not beat it. I also liked that the size is really not much larger than a normal smaller 300w.
Good deal all around. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Flawless... Monday, March 10, 2008 A Customer from WR, GA
Worked better than expected. Extremely quiet... stays cool even in high load. This power supply kept my 8800gts quad-core system supplied with all the juice they could eat and still have leftovers. Would definitely buy again & again. Not sure what I'll use the bag for... I doubt I'll take out this PS & carry it around... but it's a very high-quality bag. Was this review helpful?

Bought this for the simple fact that it is one of the few power supplies able to handle the newest nVidia graphic adaptors. Installation took less than an hour (was adding new motherboard/cpu as well) and computer has run without a hitch since. NO MORE reboots because video card shut down. NO MORE blue screens due to lack of power to the motherboard. Loving this power supply! Was this review helpful?
