5 of 5 Used for a Dell video upgrade Saturday, April 04, 2009 Darren P. DeVigili from Lynchburg, VA
I would recommend this power supply to anyone needing 620watts/50amps or less. It will handle a high powered video card (In my case a Palit 1GB 8800GT) and many extras (3 drives, fans, etc.) It has been reviewed and very well accepted as it has Seasonic internals and very good tolerances under load. It also is rated to perform at 50c, while most supplies at tested at lower (unrealistic) temps. I got it to upgrade my Dell XPS 410 power supply since they don't make a replacement for it.
It even comes with all the required cables. One note: you DO need 1 "Molex to 2 angled sata power converter plug" for each pair of SATA drives you have (a minimum of 1) or you won't be able to close the case side back up. (The cables it comes with are straight). A great power supply well worth the money. Was this review helpful?

I got this for using it with my antec P182, and definitely those long cables helped a lot... Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Outstanding! though a bit early to tell Wednesday, June 11, 2008 Thomas from Cedar Hill, MO
Well to preface this it turned out I had a few issues ... the Ultra X2 modular I had shot craps when the 120 mm fan went belly up. as my replacement I was initially going for an Antec NEO but I had read so many good things about the Corsair I decided to take the plunge and go with the 620.
I definately wanted to stick with the modular set up. I like the fact that the 20(24) mb power cable is hard wired and not modular. Shows smart design to me cause obviously this is a nessessary hook up. I also like that the cables are bound together in a round format rather than the flat ribbon cable design. The flat type I was using previously was on the annoying side and this was much nicer for me; call it personal preferance. I have been using the unit for almost a month and have had no problems with it.
The only "con" I can say is that durring installation it was a tight squeeze into my Coolermaster PRAETORIAN 730 but I managed to get it lined up okay.
I bought matched corsair memory when I built this machine and now they have another fine product that I am building confidence in.
As a side note it turns out my added problem was dust trapped between the CPU fan and the heatsink which was causing the shut down. I bought one of those CPU canisters for dust removal and its been running like a top ever since. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Compact, Quiet, Long modular cables, ample power Wednesday, April 30, 2008 Drew from Utah
Only power supply I could find at the time to meet these requirements
-Decent power rating
-Very Quiet
-Long modular cables
-Compact size - this was the one that conflicted the most with the others.
Works great so far after a month and Corsair tech support is wonderful. Very responsive and helpful.

5 of 5 They just don't get any better Monday, March 31, 2008 Mort81 from Garden City, KS
I have 2 of these. powerful, quiet and modular. I won't buy any other brand of power supply. my modular hiper 580/630 watt died in under 6 months and you have to send them to england for warranty. what a joke. very pleased with my corsair 620HX PSU's. If your still considering buying, just buy it. you won't be sorry. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 brand name=quality Tuesday, February 26, 2008 Daniel from NM
It's corsair...you know you are getting something that works out of the box and performs like a champion. modular cabling is like sliced bread and my high end box cannot drain enough juice from this PSU to give it a workout.Hightly recommended... Was this review helpful?

Well packaged clear information and organized box with more than enough modular cables.
Modular cabling, which allows to use only the cables needed, helping keep a system free of clutter.
High quality and extremely quiet ADDA dual ball-bearing fan; I have not heard the fan even with my ear five inches from it.
This PSU have not flinched, nor have the voltages shown deviation even with the system over-clocked and running at full load.
Besides making a solid rock unit, above 80% efficiency Corsair provides 5-years warranty.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------**System Specs**--

5 of 5 Big enough for everything. Thursday, January 24, 2008 andy halieus from seattle, wa
The 520 would have been enough but I wanted something that could be more "future-proof" in case I wanted to use SLI. The only problem is that there was a loose piece of junk plastic inside the power supply. I shook it out, but since I installed it with the fan down in my Antec P182 case, who would have known what could have happened. It has plenty of connections which was good for my 7 120mm fans. Price is a little much, but these are worth it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Corsair 620HX PSU Tuesday, January 22, 2008 A Customer from Roswell, GA
Great product at a great price, especially with the rebate. So quiet I can't tell if my computer is up and running. Solved the problem I was having with reboot error-alarms claiming my ATI AIW Radeon 9800 Pro video card was not connected to a power source, even though it was. Modular design is clever. Very pleased with this purchase. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Everything you could want in a PS Wednesday, December 19, 2007 Dkafs112 from Fresno, California
This Power supply is awesome. I usually purchase my electronics from Newegg, but Buy.com had it for cheaper, so I bought it here. I am very satisfied with Buy.com. I bought a motherboard from newegg the same time I purchased this power supply and the power supply was the first to arrive! awesome service! This power supply is modular, so I only need to plug the cables that I will be using, so no more ugly unused wires hanging in the cpu case. I even got zip ties from Corsair, not to mention a pretty cool looking bag to keep all the modular cables. Thanks buy.com! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good quality Sunday, December 02, 2007 A Customer from Minneapolis, MN
Solidly built, quiet, efficient, good warranty, good brand name. This was a top rated unit in a recent comparison of about 10 power supplies on a reputable site. The SATA cables are very long and should be able to reach the furthest drive in almost any case.
I'm happy with my purchase, except I am hoping that I don't end up regretting not getting a higher power-rated unit. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Good and bad Sunday, September 02, 2007 mbrew from Ft. Worth TX
I have been using one of these power supplies for several months now. It installed easily, the modular connectors are nice and the power seems to be very stable. They are fairly expensive power supplies, but I like the 5 year warranty. I recently bought a second one because I like to have a spare power supply around. Soon after I received it, I had another brand of power supply die on me. I installed the second Corsair that I had bought and the computer still would not power up. Troubleshooting indicated that the 2nd Corsair was DOA. The RMA procedure was pretty straight forward, after I discovered that my spam catcher was sending Corsairs emails to the trash bin. I now have two of these installed and I bought another one as a spare. Any company can have an occasional problem and Corsair stood behind their product. The real test will be time, and I'm hopeful that Corsair will beat the others that I've tried. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product, Great Site! Saturday, September 01, 2007 Frank from Dallas
A power supply is one of the MOST important parts for your computer's stability, and this PSU has been super stable and ultra-quiet. For the price, it's a really good buy. If you are a modder, it also has the power connectors that you can remove and adjust if you are wanting to go nuts on cable management (like this guide shows: http://www.gam.net.au/pcmods/satapower/1.html)

5 of 5 Simply the best. Sunday, July 08, 2007 Kevin from Fremont, CA

5 of 5 More Power Saturday, June 09, 2007 Alec from Joliet IL.
I purchased this power supply to replace a stock 300w in my Acer. I needed more power for the ATI 2900XT video card that was on it's way. Stock fan was super quiet where this fan can be barley heard when there is a load on the puter. The 2900XT video card makes much more audible noise when you are playing graphic intensive games. Cablel system is great, you only use the cables you need , the others stay in the pouch for later addons, thus much less clutter in the box so you get better airflow. The reviews I have read say nothing but good things about this power supply and I have to agree with them. Very pleased with the product and Buy.com. Was this review helpful?

Absolutely the best PSU I've used. It's so quiet you can't even tell that it's on. I have it powering a 680i mobo with 2 8800GTX GPU's, 2 WD raptors, 2 DVD drives, and 6 fans with no problem. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great PSU, just a bit loud Monday, March 19, 2007 Steve from Bear, DE
I have to say I love this power supply - it looks great, it's modular, and it just *feels* like a quality unit. Additionally, if you read reviews for it around the 'net you'll find nothing but great numbers and accolades. This is why I bought it. However, I was unpleasantly surprised to find that this is easily the loudest part in my computer. My computer is kept out in the open in a room that's around 68 degrees F, and the CPU rarely goes over 32 Celcius. The MB stays around 37 C, and the HDDs are in the 30-36 range. So, my system is FAR from hot. But for some reason, this power supply likes to run its fan on and off all day long. When it's running slowly it's SILENT. But every few minutes, it turns into a vacuum cleaner, and then settles back down again. This even happens while my system is idle. So all day long I'm hearing *nothing*, then *whirring*, then *slightly louder whirring*, then *nothing*, then *vacuum*, then everything in between. The good news is, it seemed to do that a LOT more the first week after I isntalled it. Maybe it just had to "break in" or something, because since then it's been much better. It doesn't get to "vacuum" levels anymore. now it jsut waffles between "silent" and "noticeable but not rediculous." If you don't need a silent PC, this unit is for you! If you're after silence, then you may not like it as much. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 So Far So Good!!! Wednesday, March 14, 2007 A Customer from wilmington, nc
This is the ONLY ps that does NOT have one bad review! I've read nothing but pros about it and thats why I chose it. With the rebate that was offered, made ps very attractive. The ps is a very important componant so I wanted the best for the $$$, and I believe thats exactly what I got. So far I give it two thumbs up. My old ps had 3 pin fan monitor plug, this one does not. So I turned that feature off in the bios. antec and entermax have fan plug but I didn't like all the bad reviews with them. I happy with my choice. Was this review helpful?

This PSU is the best and easiest unit to install and use. The modular cables make wire routing simple. A must have for modders. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 worth the money Wednesday, February 28, 2007 bill from lagrangeville, ny
relatively expensive, but worth every dollar of it. rather good looking too.
power conservatively rated. 620 watts at 50 degree c. other manufacturers rate their power supplies at a lower temperature, like 40 degrees. at 40 degrees, the corsair would be about 750 watts.
the cables are modular, so rather easy to install.
it has a fan that sucks hot air out of the computer case. doesn't seem to make too much noise either. no louder than my case fans.
in all, i'm happy with this power supply. Was this review helpful?
