The Corsair Flash Voyager family of USB drives is rugged, stylish, compact, and reliable, making them ideal for transporting MP3s, digital images, presentations and more. Flash Voyager drives are fully Plug and Play with most operating systems and are backward compatible with USB 1.1. Their durable rubber casing is easy to grip and water resistant. The Corsair Flash Voyager family now comprises of two outstanding lines of products. The Flash Voyager GT was designed from the ground up for speed, optimizing transfer rates of both reads and writes. Flash Voyager now moves down into the price/performance segment and is available in capacities ranging up to 32GB! Both the original Flash Voyager and Flash Voyager GT product line are both enclosed in the Corsair proprietary all-rubber Flash Voyager housing. Boasting water-resistant properties, these drives allow users to carry more valuable data and applications without compromise. Several reviews of the Flash Voyager products have demonstrated the ruggedness, durability, and reliability of the Flash Voyager family. The Flash Voyager has been shown laundered, baked, frozen, boiled, dropped, and even run over by a SUV in many third party reviews. After all the punishment it receives, the drive continues to work.

5 of 5 Great product Saturday, May 09, 2009
Bruce B. from Bakersfield, California

writes and reads fine in any format(Fat32/ExFat/NTFS), compatible with Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7RC. Thumb drives are typically slower than a hardrives but the portability is wonderful. For what I do with it, set new computers, for this purpose I found it works great without any file courruptions or read/write errors. As far as putting large files of 1 Gig or more I have several files that are greater than 1 Gig with no errors and this is on a Fat32 configuration.

I guess if fell down and a car ran over it! but when I plugged it in, IT WAS STILL WORKING!!!! Now I am going to buy the 32GB! I need more space! I'm a student and part time assistant, and I need all the space I could get!

2 of 5 Bulky design, not Mac compatible Saturday, February 28, 2009
A Customer from Pacoima, CA
Good price for 32GB flash, but can't store large files (> 3 GB) without reformating with a disk utility. Also, bulky rubberized cover makes it hard to use where USB ports are close to each other.

This device is great for the uses that I have for this type of product. As well as the prices are beginning to decline whice makes it even better. I am looking forward to a Flashdrive holding an entire hard drives worth of information

5 of 5 Upgraded from Corsair 16gb to 32gb and love it Wednesday, November 19, 2008
Robb from Sykesville, MD
I loved my 16gb Corsair - I don't benchmark it for performance - so I can't tell you it is fast. Or slow. I can tell you it met my need of having large amount of space - hanging on my keychain... Until it didn't. I love my 32gb even more. I created a 24gb TrueCrypt volume and still leaves me 6gb left over in the unencrypted volume for quick access ... It feels ad vacant as my 16gb did when I got it... :) I hope they are working on a 64gb version -- so when my 32gb gets tight it will be ready. I love the rubberized feel. The 16gb cap came off - but I wrote them an email and they sent me 2 replacement caps no cost ... Interesting - the 32gb cap is still tight... perhaps they fixed that issue?

4 of 5 Does what I need it for. Saturday, November 01, 2008
Ryan from Cincinnatus, NY
It's not the fastest memory stick on the planet that's for sure. But if you need a single, small device to care a lot of data on then this does the trick and it's a little more secure considering the design. It took forever to format to NTFS. I didn't keep track but it seemed like about 2-3 hours. And to copy a 4 gig movie iso takes quite a while. About 20-30 mins I think it was. But if your putting something on there just to access conveniently then once it's on there all goes well.

5 of 5 Update to "Works Ok" review Tuesday, September 09, 2008
Steve from Rye, NH
I have changed my rating after I found that I could format this USB drive to NTFS after I changed the drive's properties from "Optimized for Quick Removal" to "Optimized for Performance", which made NTFS a formatting option.

4 of 5 Works OK Sunday, September 07, 2008
Steve from Rye, NH
I think the price I paid for this 32G USB drive is quite good. The product seems to work well. My only negative issue is that it is formatted as FAT32, not NTFS. I have been able to place files of about 4G onto the device. However, I was hoping to be able to store (and run) virtual machines (MS Virtual Server or VMWare) on the device, but I can't do this, as my typical virtual image is about 9G and the USB drive won't accept a file this large. The drive won't allow me to re-format it.

5 of 5 WOW! 32 GB! What should I do with all this stora Wednesday, September 03, 2008
Bret from Cinci, Ohio
I love this thing. The speed is pretty darn fast (not sure what the "slow" reviews are about). I have noticed with ANY thumb drive if you copy lots of small files, it can go slower, but this thing is pretty fast compared to most others. It's not going to be as fast as your hard drive or memory in your computer. REMEMBER: The primary feature is "portability" not "performance". That's why it's small. Anyway, if you purchase this on sale or with a rebate you'll love it, but remember that 64 GB models will be out soon and they'll be giving this one away for $25 before we know it, so you might not want to invest a fortune on it.

5 of 5 Big, relatively quick, durable Wednesday, September 03, 2008
A Customer from Dallas, TX
Large Capacity, not as fast as the more expensive model. Does what I need it to do. 32GB on a lanyard around my neck. Guess I'm a geek.

5 of 5 Good product, great price Wednesday, September 03, 2008
A Customer from Wilmington Delaware
Two things that you expect out of a flash / thumb drive this one delivers... Capacity and durability. When I heard that my son had put a similar drive through the clothes washer and everything survived, I knew I would be safe.

5 of 5 Excellent product !!!! Wednesday, September 03, 2008
Ashwin Mehta from Orlando, FL
This has been a great product, works well, can't complain about the speed, as its great !!! I believe in a bit of patience to get reliability and satisfaction !!! I am sure its reliable, and will not loose data over time. The rugged, rubbery exterior is excellent for rough handling. I am very satisfied with this product and so I got 2 such 32GB Flash Drives.

5 of 5 HUGE Capacity! Tuesday, September 02, 2008
Adam from Easthampton, MA
This drive has a HUGE capacity in a small form factor and is much faster than my other USB flash drives. I would highly recommend it to anyone needing to carry a lot of large files with them.

5 of 5 The Most Durable Flashdrive Monday, September 01, 2008
A Customer from South San francisco, CA
This is the most durable flash drive I have ever bought. I accidentally left it in one of my pants and had it go through the washing machine. I was expecting for it not to work after wards. So, I let it dry for about 6 hours and plugged it in and it WORKS! I am completely satisfied with this product. It is very durable for clumsy people like me.

5 of 5 A great little "bouncy" thumb drive Tuesday, August 12, 2008
Bret from Ohio
I've owned the 16 GB model of this thumb drive and ordered this one today at $69 after MIR. A steal of a deal. The read and write speeds are very good unless you use the TrueCrypt encryption software to encrypt all or even a partition of the drive. I don't understand why the performance degrades on BOTH partitions if you only encrypt one, but heads up. I'd advise against using encryption on these thumb drives. Perhaps use your older 4 or 8 GB model for encrypted data and keep this massive data warehouse for non-sensitive stuff. The drive is molded into a rubberized case which is very nice (shock resistant). It literally bounces if you drop it. However, this thing also attracts ALL the lint in your pocket (not a deal breaker, but just so you know).

5 of 5 The replacement works great Tuesday, July 29, 2008

The first one I got was defective, but the replacement works great. It's USB 2.0 fast, and storage space is massive. I'm very happy.

5 of 5 Great USB drive Wednesday, July 02, 2008
Mark from Ft. Lauderdale, FL
I bought a 16GB by Corsair a while back and when I finally filled it up, I went seeking the 32GB (the 64GB is still way too expensive). I decided to use the same brand since I had no trouble with the one I already owned. This drive works completely as expected and even came with an unexpected surprise (the 16GB did not, at least when I bought it a year or so ago) -- it had a utility already on it for encrypting my data. Of course, a newer version was available already from the vendor's site, but a quick update from the web and I was up-to-speed. Only one complaint about this particular device and it only applies if you wind up with two or more of them... they look exactly the same! I can't tell my 16GB from my 32GB without plugging them in. I already voiced this to Corsair and they are "taking it under consideration". FYI - if you already have a USB drive or purchase another brand which doesn't come with encryption software, you may wish to consider the free, open-source solution at www.truecrypt.com. Hope all this helps the next customer!

1 of 5 SLOW Friday, June 27, 2008
Frank from Charlotte, NC
I'm having to return the one I got because its write speeds start fast, but then degrade quickly down to less than 20KBps. Hopefully the replacement will live up to others' experiences.

5 of 5 Makes storage easy Sunday, April 13, 2008
A Customer from Seattle, WA
This is my first experience with Corsair USB drive. The buildquality is very good and feels rugged with a water-proofy feeling. Buy.com was the cheapest for this drive. The drive is formatted in FAT32 with does not take files more than 4+ GB. I have couple of Linux ISO files that exceed 4GB and hence reformatted this drive as NTFS. Formatting takes a long time. File transfer is reasonable. I'm very happy with this and use it to backup my data once in a while. A must buy if you are looking to ease data management and or looking for personal backup.

5 of 5 humungous Sunday, April 13, 2008
Doli from Paris, France
I've been using Corsair for years, (beginning at 4G, when no one else went over 1G) getting bigger ones as they come out. Only problem with the Corsair, is the bigger they get, the more expensive, although I assume the price will go down over time.I now use the 32G as my data backup, which is easier than burning discs. I've been carrying my data, including pix, around in my wallet on the 16G for a year. And a little anecdote: The bouncing power of the drive is amazing. My office is on a deck 5 meters above the livingroom and one day it slipped from my hands bouncing over the rail and down a floor. When I finally found where it had bounced to, and brought it back up to the computer, everything worked perfectly as if nothing had happened, and has been ever since. This is to contrast with a friend's fragile 4G drive encased in metal: he had dropped it from his pocket, and it no longer worked.

5 of 5 Compact yet massive Sunday, March 23, 2008
A Customer from Manassas Park, VA
Nice rubberized packaging means rides well in pocket. 32gb of portable storage. Very pleased. While it won't replace my passport drive, 32gb is large enough that all my 'almost always need' stuff will fit on it, and solid state rather then traditional platter means less worry about getting jostled.
