The HX1000W joins the family of well received HX Series Enthusiast Grade Power Supplies known for their rock solid stability, enhanced modular cable design and high efficiency. The Corsair HX1000W Power Supply sets a new standard by which all other high wattage power supplies will be judged.
The Corsair HX1000W features six PCI-Express connectors, both 6-pin and 8-pin compatible, to power multiple high-end graphics cards and two EPS12V connectors for dual CPU configurations. The truly independent dual transformer, dual rail design allow for optimum load balancing resulting in greater performance and stability. Industrial-grade 105°C primary, secondary and solid state capacitors provide up to four times the lifespan of traditional components.
The HX1000W not only delivers one thousand watts of clean power for the highest performance enthusiast systems, it does so at greater than 80% efficiency thanks to the double-forward switching design and multiple rail DC-to-DC converter. Due to its best-in-class efficiency the HX1000W is able to run cool and quiet with only a single 140mm thermally controlled fan.

This particular PSU can deliver the goods. Better than most 1kW units, as it doesn't have the droop issues under load. Runs cool, plenty of cables included, even the dual EPS12 connectors. If you find yourself needing another cable for your installation, contact Corsair, and they'll send it to you at no cost.
It's rather large, so make sure you have the room, particularly for the cables/modular connectors off the rear.

This is a great Power Supply for the money. No problems so far. Installation was okay. It is a huge PS. I have a full size tower and things are very tight. I have my CD drives in front of the PS and it's very tight.
The only real "con" was shipping. FedEx required a "direct signature"; meaning that someone had to physically sign for the delivery. And of course, I couldn't be home to sign because I work. So, it took me an extra 3 days to get this card because of that!

Best power supply you can buy, more power than most people need, even tri sli is a breeze for this unit. Cant go wrong with this one, buy.com has the best price so dont bother looking anywhere else. I gotta give credit to buy.com for the extra speedy processing and shipping as usual (Love you buy.com!)

Pros: the power supply is very quite, one of the quietest fan in my system. Many leads so you can add many hard drives, fans optical drives and tri-sli. Their are six pci-express connectors, they all have six and two to add, 6+2. It even can power up a skull trail. Very good and reliable power supply. buy.com delivered very fast.

I am loving this power supply, the modular cables, helps with cable management. This was the best price for a 1000W modular power supply. Plus a 5 year warranty. Comes with a nice bag to store all your extra cables in. It is very quiet also. Only problem is the length, it is very long so you need to have a Full Tower or you will not be able to put a fan in the top of your case. But I suggest if you are looking for a power supply with plenty of connections for that SLI or Tri-SLI setup, this is the one for you.

I am loving this power supply, it is a little long, so you need to have a big case. The Modular cables are have plenty of connections on them and are easy to install. Great product, 5 year warranty is also a plus.
