5 of 5 Works Great Wednesday, April 08, 2009 John Mitchell from Richmond, VA
I am a computer technician. I have 4 of these. I use these adapters everyday. They work perfectly all of the time. When using these on laptop drives, you wont need to use the extra power adapter. I also have never had to use the RED USB plug to add additonal power. The power adapter will sometimes be needed to be plugged into the harddrive/usb adapter, when a desktop SATA drive is connected. Coolmax has clearly marked with BIG WHITE ARROWS, the proper way to connect the power plug. Please make sure that the ARROWS ARE POINTING AT EACH OTHER when connecting the two adapters together, or you will be sorry. If you dont understand, dont use this setup or you may destroy your computer and all connected hardware. If you pay attention to BOTH arrows, you cant go wrong. I have never had this problem, but I have read some horror stories. I have many adapters by all different manufacturers, and I always reach for these Coolmax adapters to get the job done. They are quick and easy, and always reliable. Was this review helpful?
