A good find for the price and very quiet 500w power supply. 5 sata and 5 molex you can't find that for this price + free shipping. The only down point is the cable are short. I used it in a Raidmax Smilodon ATX case and the cables just made the reach down to the hd's, just to give you a scale on cables reach. Also the cable for the mobo barely made the reach also. My mobo is a BIOSTAR TA790GX XE AM2+/AM2 Micro atx 9.6 x 9.6 in sizes. Was this review helpful?

I bought this power supply to replace one that went belly up. At first glance, it's an impressive looking unit. Nice color and the gold color fan cover is eye appealing. The power rating is confusing on the label. It's a 500w supply, but the label shows only a 150w and a 350w in the description. You have to add them up to know it's rated at 500w. It has a LARGE fan, which is always a plus. Wiring for both the new SATA and the older IDE hardware was welcome also. However, it does not have an power plug for a floppy drive. many of us still have floppy units in out computers, and that was missed. It has a 3 speed manually selectable speed control, which is nice, but a speed control based on a heat sensor would have been preferred. It's been up and running now for 3 weeks. Nice and quiet, moves heat well, and does the job just fine. Was this review helpful?
