This is a great traveling game - why I bought it. The stand is set inside the zipper case - just open and play! It also has side pockets on the inside - I put the pieces in a ziploc baggy and slipped it in the pocket. You could probably also slip in things like a deck of cards if you wanted to.

my 8 & 4 year old love playing it in the car. it travels well and the section that holds the checkers stands up well by itself. it is also easy to store so little fingers can put each checker away by themselves. a good game to keep in the car.
