Commish-Complete Series (2010)

Editor's Note As the brainchild of megaproducer Stephen J. Cannell, the offbeat police drama THE COMMISH (1991-96) starred Michael Chiklis (WIRED) as Tony Scali, a laid-back but dedicated police commissioner based in the (apocryphal) New York City suburb of Eastbridge. Episodes segued back-and-forth between developments on the force, and Tony's experiences at home, where he received emotional support from loving wife Rachel (Theresa Saldana) and preadolescent son David (Kaj-Erik Eriksen). At its outset, THE COMMISH attained distinction for its relaxed, occasionally humorous tone, though over time, the show's emotional intensity began to build, typified by such events as the birth of Tony and Rachel's daughter, the deaths and departures of various subordinate officers, and ultimately, an extremely violent attempt on Tony's life by a hired killer known as The Iceman. This box set contains all 92 episodes of THE COMMISH, spanning five seasons.
