Following her smash hit THE WOMAN IN ME was no easy task for Shania Twain and husband/producer Mutt Lange. With COME ON OVER the sexy vixen of modern country has carved out a bigger niche for herself that is sure to please her growing throng of fans. With a huge helping of rock and roll added to her country trimmings, Twain proves her success has been no fluke. As a rule, she goes out of her way to break the traditional Nashville mold. Even her songwriting skills are at the forefront; Shania and Mutt co-wrote all the songs on this collection.
Sounding like a disciple of Linda Ronstadt and Tina Turner with a dash of Tanya Tucker, Twain launches into country-club rockers like "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!," "Don't Be Stupid (You Know I Love You)," and "Rock This Country!" with a fervor. A guest shot by singer Bryan White adds a touch of drama to the powerful "From This Moment On." Top-40 flavored tunes abound on the rest of the disc including "Love Gets Me Every Time," "If You Wanna Touch Her, Ask!," and even the country-fied hip-hop of "Honey, I'm Home." Finally, the acoustic ballad "You've Got A Way" adds a soft touch to round out the set.

Artist Overview
The ultimate Nashville outsider, Canadian Shania Twain (Eileen Regina Twain) took the country music world by storm with her second album, THE WOMAN IN ME. Famous for her midriff-baring outfits, Twain conquered the rest of the world with the 16-times platinum COME ON OVER, which brought her global pop success, a contract with Revlon cosmetics, and a Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year award. In 2002, Twain (along with producer/husband Robert "Mutt" Lange) made the unusual move of recording and releasing the album UP! in both country, pop, and world-music versions, revealing the full extent of her remarkable crossover status.
