Coby TF-DVD7107 - Portable DVD Player 7" Widescreen

This is the best thing to take on the plan or a long distance ride with my children. It can also play just music. Two sides plugs allow both of my children to share headphone if they want to. But normally we just use it without any headphone. The sound quality is good. We use it a lot and I didn't realize we have it for this long until now when I look into my account to buy another thing. It is still working well! Our family enjoy it very much! Plus when we take it with us on the road, we can plug into the hotel's TV as our DVD players to watch movies.

My granddaughter can't seem to put the player down when going anywhere! It works great, volume range is really good for music as well. Yet, it's only been used for a couple weeks so for long term use - I am hoping this little gem lasts and lasts!

Was a very good product. Good sound quality. Can use it anywhere because of the way it connects everywhere. I would recommend this to my friends. After reading the reviews I hope that it will continue to be a great buy.

I purchased this dvd player because of the reviews. I really paid attention to the customers giving the battery life up to 4 1/2 hours of play. But the player only have 2 hours and 15 minutes before it stops. I was disappointed in that, because some of my movies last longer then that. Over all the player is nice (but the sound could be louder).

We purchased due to going on vacation with the kids. Cross-country flights, etc. We received the DVD player day before we left. We played one DVD in it that night and it seemed to work ok. The next day the problems started, it then didn't work on approx. 80% of the DVD's we tried to play while on vacation. By the time we returned from vacation (2 weeks), Buy.com wouldn't take back. WORSE, the maker "COBY" would only try to repair if we paid shipping to get to them, AND enclosed a cashier's check (bank check) for the return shipping. But, they couldn't tell us what the return shipping would be. We are trying to get through this with Buy.com, as they have always been good, but I will NEVER purchase a Coby product again as they don't care what happens after they make the sale.

I really like this item, the picture is great and it is very easy to use. the headphone are esssential because it isn't a very loud player, but once the headphones, the system really comes alive!

My daughter and I love our new DVD but the play-stop-rewind combo button requires a good bit of strength to operate, even for me as an adult. I only wish they had made the buttons bigger. If you are buying this for a child, consider getting an upgraded model.

I would not recommend this to anyone. Furthermore Coby has the worst customer service possible...if it breaks you are out of luck. We sent this back after it broke (one week of use) and waited two full months before we got our product returned. When it did arrive it was someone else's DVD player that worked for 3 uses and then broke too!! When we asked Coby what happened to the player we purchased (which cost 20.00 more) they said that they can replace it with a comparable model and they take their warranty policy very seriously. So, two different players in a total of 3 months broken and worthless. Wouldn't do it if I were you.

I bought this DVD player for My 2 year old for when we go on vacation or for long shopping days. He is able to use it pretty easily. The buttons press hard, but it really isn't designed for a baby. It is very durable. He has dropped it several times with no effect to the dvd player. The picture is great. The sound it good. It comes with lots of accessories. The ear phones are great. I would recommend this to everyone. A great price for a great product.

I purchased this mainly because of the great reviews. I have only used it so far just to make sure it works well. And it did. I will be using it on a trip to Hawaii, so I'm hoping that it continues to work as well as it did when I tested it. The price was great. I checked around and Buy.com was the best price, plus their extra warranty was alot more reasonable than anyone else, like Best Buy, or Circuit City.

At this price point, this is hard to beat. Video quality is pretty impressive, machine has built in to it plugs for two headsets, comes with a remote control and all. (no carrying case though) We have taken it in the car on numerous trips and it keeps the kids quiet, they enjoy it (so we enjoy it too) and MUCH cheaper than buying the 1,000 entertainment system option ;-) Highly recommended

I bought this DVD player for a long plane ride. It's great because it's very compact, the battery has a long life (I didn't have it on the whole time, but when I tested it before leaving, it lasted over 4 1/2 hours on a straight-through play.) and the screen was clear for both of us. It's also great because the buttons are not too easy to push so my little one could touch it and bang away. Another plus is that when he leaned on the DVD cover, the DVD would freeze, but then resume right away. It's a tough little machine to take his rough love and excitement. GREAT product, GREAT price!

I haven't used it yet, but I purchased this mainly because of all the reviews. The shipping was extremely fast. The product itself looks great. I am charging it now. I'll write again if I have any problems, but as of right now I am thrilled with the product and the price. The fast shipping is just an extra bonus.

This player is a great player for the money. A couple of things were not clear when I ordered it. The AV jacks can be set to in or out. So when using 2 players you can share a movie. I did not know this until they came in (huge plus!). I ordered the Mo-Go which was an absolute mistake and will be sending that worthless piece of junk back! I am instead using a $1.00 bungy cord from Lowes to mount it to the headrest. You can view a photo of the bungy mounting at www.a2zuniforms.com/coby-dvd.html . I would have given this unit a 5 for value if they simply would have addressed the mounting issue As always, Buy.com had the dvd players to my door in 1 or 2 days (can't remember) and with standard shipping (don't pay extra for "special shipping" because it gets there just as fast with standard shipping. As others have stated the dual headphone jacks are a great plus so that 2 people can share one player (even though I bought 2 units, at times they will share player). You can't go wrong with this player.

I was never interested in having one of these until I was laid up after surgery; it's great! Don't know much about electronics, but I was especially impressed by the quality of the picture, and the fact that it's easy to use and recharge. This was my 1st Buy.com purchase, but I'll be back. I've been burned in the past from ordering online from companies I didn't know so was very nervous about purchasing this item from Buy.Com. But the DVD player was everything I wanted! I received it in just days and use it continuously. The only complaint I have is I wish the speakers would be louder, I don't like headphones. Other than that anyone out there wondering if you should purchase this item, you SHOULD, you won't be disappointed.

Great picture, great sound. Does not skip when moved around. We plan to let our one year old use it on our 3 hour plane ride. If it keeps her occupied for the full flight it is worth its weight in gold!

I BOUGHT THE COBY BECAUSE IT WAS INEXPENSIVE, SMALL, 2 JACKS AND THE REVIEWS WERE GOOD. IT'S WHAT I EXPECTED AND MORE. SOUND IS GOOD PICTURE IS GOOD. STURDY FEEL. OF COURSE I WOULD LIKE IT TO BE EVEN LIGHTER AS I CARRY IT WITH ME BUT I BOUGHT A CASE MADE JUST FOR SMALL DVD PLAYERS AND THAT HELPS A LOT. SO FAR I HAVE ONLY WATCHED AVERAGE LENGTH MOVIES AND THE BATTERY SEEMS GOOD . HAVE NOT USED THE REMOTE YET AS EVERYTHING I NEEDED SO FAR WAS ON THE PLAYER. ANOTHER PLUS. I HAVEN'T HAD IT VERY LONG SO I HOPE IT JUST KEEPS WORKING AS WELL LATER AS IT DOES NOW.

I bought this for my 2-1/2 yo to use in the car and it works perfect. It's light and easy to handle so she can watch a movie with no problems. I like the remote so I can stop/play as needed.

This dvd player works, but I think it has many features that are not explained. My frustration is that I know the device has much more capability that we will not access. I purchased it for my 87 year old mother to view the many digital pictures our family takes and rarely prints. By using only the on/off switch and putting in the dvd/cd, she can do this. She is positively delighted with this basic player.

The first unit I received would not play or recognize anything either DVD or CD. I received great service for the return of this item, and the second unit I received seems to work really well. No problems so far with that unit, and the picture quality is quite good for a lower priced DVD player.

Very solid product! We purchased this last minute for a plane trip with a 2 & 4 year old and it worked wonderfully. The dual stereo jacks (1 on each side) were a big plus and the battery does seem to last close to 4 hrs. This exact product was $30-40 more at a local big box store.

We just returned from Spring Break, and the DVD player was GREAT in the van! I have seen this rated all different numbers, but we found it to be a 5!! Very easy to use and we really like the headphone jacks on both sides. Buy.com was also a great place to buy it from, even cheaper than Ebay!!

This is fairly good for me and children. One thing I want to say is buttons on the device is little tough to push, especially for childrens. But, remote control is good to use. I am pretty much satisfied over all.

This is my first portable dvd player,I do like the idea of having earphone jacks on both sides,a long life battery...and the convenience of the car adapter,I practically live on the road and this really helps pass the time...simple and ease of use make this product an exceptional value....

I bought this player for use by my wife and I on an airplane. Thoughts - I first purchased the unit thinking I would need to buy an audio splitter for two pairs of headphones. When the unit arrived, I was pleasantly suprised to find a jack on each side of the player. In a longevity test, I let it run on the battery 1.5 times through the Shawshank Redemption. Overall really good picture quality, though a tad weak on contrast when watching LOTR trilogy. With all of the options and gear that comes with this unit, it is a pretty good deal and I am pleased with the product.

Received this item yesterday. It works quite well and feels like a good quality product. The remote feels a little flimsy but it is small and light. The screen is nice with a bit of darkening when tilted up or down from perpendicular. Left to right the viewing angle is good. I had one moment of disappointment when putting the power cord into the transformer. At first when I plugged the cord into the transformer, it was loose and would not stay together. After measuring how far the plug was going into the receptacle, I decided to apply some brute force and that did the trick. This is the first portable DVD player I have owned so I don't have anything to compare it with but so far I am pleased with this player.
