The Coby DVD player can play many formats of CD/DVD including NTSC and PAL. It is very reasonably priced and compact. The latter can be a drawback. Most of functions have to be controlled by the remote control which can be a plus to some people and minus to others. My experience with the support from Coby has been poor. I returned to Coby the battery of their portable DVD player because it failed to hold charge. They sent me another battery one month and half later with no explanation. This is the most vulnerable model from coby. Don't ever dare to buy this. The support extended is too bad. The company does a refund if returned back in 14 days from the date of purchase online. it takes atleast 7 days for the product to be delivered and the product has to be tested day and night putting aside all your work - to be returned in 7 days after receipt. moreover it costs $18 dollars to ship back against the price of $29.99. guys, please don't buy this product. I have puchased this dvd player in January,2008. First day it worked fine. From second week onwards this dvd player is not working. I have contacted Buy.com. They said after 14 days they won't give gurantee any electronic product. Was this review helpful?

Excellent drive. Reads all personal dvds made whether 8x or 16x. had many problems with other drives readng 16x dvds. Also reads dvds that are not playable in my other dvd players. Liked enough that I purchased one more for myself and one for my daughter. The only thing you really need to know is that remote works best if within 6 or 7 feet of unit. Was this review helpful?

This is of very bad quality. I just got this on 10th Oct 07. The picture quality is OK but the sound is not good at all for the home theatre system. The switch to stop does not work, The tray also does not come out. Over all very bad quality of player. I bought this to use this in In India as it would work internationally, but this is not worth to throw $30 and get lots of dissatisfaction. I would suggest never buy this dvd player.
