Shoddy workmanship! When I unpacked the radio, there was something rattling around inside of it. There was no damage to the exterior, shipping box and the item was well padded. I took the back off and found that a piece of plastic, with a copper wire wrapped around it, was loose inside of the radio. I did contact both Coby and Beach Audio; however, I decided not to return it, because all of the funtions, on the radio, work and the postage and insurance, both ways, would cost almost as much as the radio. Coby will only repair the radio and Beach Audio will only give me a refund. Coby said that it no longer produces the CX-788 radio. Was this review helpful?

Need an inexpensive radio that receives AM/FM/TV channels, then this readio is for you. It runs off of batteries or is ready to just plug into the wall. It also has a NOAA emergency notification and 2 alarms. You just need to read the directions to program everything. I would recommend this radio to all! Was this review helpful?

I wanted a cheap battery opperated radio to use in extreme weather conditions or in case the power went out. I bought 2, one for myself and one for my dad. I expected to get what I paid for, a cheap radio. I was pleasently surprised when I received the radio's and tried them out. The sound and clarity from the speakers was good and all the functions of the unit worked well. I would buy Coby products again if the need arrises. Was this review helpful?

This unit is well worth the price especially since it has a digital tuner. Has both AM/FM BANDS AND NOAH WEATHER ALSO. Audio is decent for small speaker. Again, you can't beat it for the price. Was this review helpful?
